Two days in a row [for me starting the thread]. It's lunchtime here in India.

BTW, the date of yesterday's thread was wrong. I thought that I was to blame, but further looking revealed that JustJen put the wrong date on Wed's thread, and I just incremented the date from Wed by one.

But today is actually July 27th.

Happy Birthday Maureen!!! Enjoy your day. ccasion5:

Good morning to all. I have another presentation to make to the group this afternoon. Then a conf call back to the team in the states around 7:30pm tonight. I took an Ambien last night and slept like a rock. So far, no jet lag.

Later all,
Hi Tim! (and everyone who follows)

Good luck wtih your presentation! And thanks so much for pointing out that I can't read a calendar.

I sure didn't get much done yesterday, but it definitely improved my attitude. This will make my co-workers very happy.

Mid-day workout planned if I have time I may take a Voo-style "lunch" break for it.

No QOD from me, I'll be back later for it.
Good days and runs to all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAUREEN!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAUREEN ccasion4:

I have been up since about 4 with the little boy. Yay. Good thing today was supposed to be a "rest" day for me. I put it in quotes because that actually means keeping a 2.75-year-old occupied while his 4.75-year-old sister is at camp this morning, then taking them to the playground for a picnic lunch and some playgroundy fun.

Oh, and then I get to go to the endodontist to see if I need a root canal.

Rest my ass, but at least it's not another day of Spin or the elliptical. Those are getting old, man, but I'll be right back at 'em tomorrow.

More shirtless posting...

My friend is still in the hospital and not happy. She's a nurse, and says that she doesn't mind being in the hospital if she's feeling bad, she hates being there for tests. I visited her for a bit again last night, and she should be d/c today.

I'm a bear of very little brain today. Fortunately, I don't have to deal with too many people, I'm just doing computer work all day. It's gonna be a long day though, I'm so exhausted. No run today (none since last Sat ) but I'll get a 6 miler in tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Moe!!!

Happy Birthday, Auntie Moe!!!

Maggie and I went to our first Childbirth Preparation Class last night, and of course they showed us a video. All I can say right now is... Ewww!!!!

We're now off to CT to spend the day with my dad. He had successful surgery yesterday to have his gall bladder removed. My mom says he's recovering well. So there's good news here. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, everyone...

If I don't get a chance to check back in today, have a great Friday everyone...

Happy Birthday Maureen!

Good luck with the 6 milers, Scratch and Kris. Love the shirtless posting, as always. I will spare you a description of what I am wearing!

Tim, no jet lag? Whaaaaa?

Running - Hung out at a 5k last night. Felt weird not to be a runner. Saw many Hashers. Drank many beers. There must be something in the water, because yesterday was the second person in a week to tell me that they were breaking up with a long time partner. Super sad, no matter how [email protected] the situation is. Also reminds me of my life, of course.

In one situation, I know both of the people. I stay far away from sides, although it may not be possible to remain neutral. In the other, everyone who knows her (a BH3 Hasher) has been expecting her to leave for a while. It is easier to talk to her, since I don't know her guy.

As I'm coming up on 1.5 years out of my marriage, I can see a little better how far I am from doing that again. I once believed I'd be remarried in a few years. Not so much now. And that is Ok.......

Good runs all!

Taking the morning off.

I am, indeed, a hoser. Big time.

Two Friday photos. One from a proud papa, showing off his kids doing a little kid-sized duathlon running/biking. This was on the Cape.

I love the way DD#1 is flying....

Second is a pic from the Eerie Hash which obviously, I cannot stop talking about.

Disregard the jello shot and playing cards in the foreground. TGIF folks! No big plans for the weekend yet. I hope to be able to get back to my lazy weekend persona at 5pm. Last weekend I awoke with the strange urge to scrub and clean my kitchen and to rearrange my furniture.. Doh!

Speaking of "doh" I plan on going to see the Simpsons movie (insert donuts here) sometime Saturday.

No walk today as I am resting my knee (precaution) in order to complete c25k week 6 tomorrow.

That's all I know! Back later.

Oh I forgot to mention.... I had the weirdest nightmare last night. (insert background here) A company merged and then performed a hostile takeover of our cd store chain in 2002. Shortly thereafter they started closing all the stores including mine. That's how I lost my job and wound up where I work currently. That said.......

The company that performed a hostile takeover of our music store chain had called me in to manage a new store here in town.

I was there before opening time inside the store getting stuff ready to go. Firstly I was stressing out as I had no access code to operate the register. Also the register was used as a database, inventory control and ordering, etc. I had no access codes to do anything and the store was supposed to open in minutes.

THEN as I looked around the counter there was a brochure from the old company with pictures of the home office staff, supervisors and other managers from old meetings and conventions. I (lol) stole the brochure because it brought back powerful emotions of friends I don't see anymore AND then I walked out on them just as the store opened and told them I could not come back and work for them after what they did to all of us.

hehehehe a psycho start to Friday

So, yesterday was a bad day...bad run, had to leave work with a pile of work on my desk to go to a customer location for a set up. At least that is what the leading sales person told us. We get there and the customer is unaware that they have agreed to do business with us so no set up would occur. Instead he is under the impression that we are doing some kind of different analysis for him.ok we can do that. Problem is that they have no such product at their warehouse...it all is inbound from vendors. Someone want to tell him how to do an analysis on product that isn't present and that we have NO information on. So, we have travelled 45 minutes to this location, we may as well do some due diligence and observe the customer's current practice so that we can most effectively hit on how we will be able to make their jobs easier. PROBLEM: All of this occurs in a closed, non airconditioned warehouse on a day in the upper 90s and humid. It was well over 100 in the warehouse and within 10 minutes I was soaked to the bone. Disgusting. Of course since this is business, we were in nicer dress clothes. Hmpf. I am not happy. I then drove home in heavy traffic, left my headlights on and killed my battery.

/end rant

Decent 6 miles this week. Leaving at 12 for a concert weekend.

LMAO - I remember that day, when we went to that for the first time.

So far, no. I slept very well on both flights over here. We arrived at around 8:00am local yesterday...and I did pretty well save for a 2 hr nap yesterday afternoon. I went to bed last night around 1:00am local time and slept until 7:30am local time. My Dr. perscribed Ambien and I took one last night. I have stayed up all day and worked a full biz day here. I'll probably crash around 9:00pm local.

I'm on a conf. call now back to the states...when this wraps, my day will be complete. I did squeeze in 6.7 kms on the treadmill.

boB - that's great news about your Dad. Best wishes to him and your family.

Hey all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOE!! ccasion5:

Welcome to 38, it's not too bad.

Here's my mini dilemma for the day. Do I do 5 tonight on the TM or head to the grocery store to get that done tonight? Whatever I don't do tonight will have to get done in the a.m. and I am definitely doing a 7 miler on Sunday. I hate grocery shopping and would almost rather get r dun tonight. Stupid, I know but this is the kind of stupid stuff I fret over.

Bob-Glad to hear your dad is on his way to feeling better. As far as the childbirth thing goes, get it together man!

DrC-I have always said that if for some reason dh and I weren't together anymore I would probably never get remarried. Once would be enough for me I think. That probably doesn't sound right, though.

What's everyone got going this weekend? Me, just hanging with the dds, gonig to my mom's for lunch on Sunday, in fact, my 7 mile run is there, where we will have pimento cheese sandwiches, Yum!!!

For some reason when I woke up this morning "life is how you change it" was the first thing that popped into my head. I had dinner w/ one of my girlfriends last night- lots of sangria and conversation- some of which was about my father and that whole situation...for some reason I am just feeling better about things this morning. I've been kindof in a funk the last week or two- beginning when I got sick post-Mexico, and I haven't been able to shake it. I woke up at 3 am and didn't go back to sleep until close to 6- needless to say I didn't work out this morning-I'm going spin and run 3 after work. Tomorrow is yoga, then Sunday is my first tri! Thanks Lori for the good luck wishes.
Happy Birthday Moe!! Let's see...what else am I forgetting? Oh-bob- hope your father is doing ok...Good luck to the San Fran racers!
Doc- It took me 9 yrs to get remarried and like you, I thought for sure I'd be married in a couple of years. I wouldn't change anything though (other than some of the men I dated in between). I know the right woman is out there for you!

I hate when I don't get a key run in Poops. Got home late last night from Philly and spent my time getting ready for San Fran. I also could not pull my arse outta bed this morning for a shorter run. Double poops. Planning to try and cut out from the office early, squeeze in an e-z run and then get myself to the airport.

That's quite enough of my crying...

I like how Diane lists her kids' ages in mileage-like style… 2.75 & 4.75 hee hee…

Good luck at the TRI KJ!! And as super swim angel Maureen!

Brandy - what concert?

Glad to hear dad is on the mend, Bob - have a safe drive.
