[robin williams voice]GGGGGOOOOOOOODDDDDD MORNING 30s THREAD!!![/robin williams voice]

Well, it's been a real treat to be your thread starter this week. But, alas, today's my last day here in God's Country...that's the unofficial title of the state of Kerela, India [I believe].

India Report: Two interesting things. 1. We stopped at a Varkey's (small grocery store kinda like Safeway) on our way to work this morning to pick up some local sweets/snacks to take back to the states with us. So, that was a bit of excitement getting into a regular store. Nothing too out of the ordinary though. 2. We had a funny discussion about coffee on our way to the office this morning. I was commenting that I wondered when Starbucks would get here. Sourabh responded that Starbucks are already here in India in other cities. We then discussed the size of the Starbucks coffee...mainly the big one, the venti. We've been drinking coffee here, but the portion is not what we are used to in the US. Jay, joked that he was going to keep his soup bowl from lunch and use it to get coffee in. Another thing is that they drink a lot more cream/milk in the coffee. Sourabh had us laughing when he told of his first Starbucks coffee experience on a trip to the US. First he was surprised by how big the cup was, and second there wasn't enough room for him to get enough cream in it to drink. So, he ended up throwing it in the trash. He did say that after 5 months in the states he was converted to the starbucks portion size and the less cream ratio in the coffee. Personally, I take no cream/milk in my coffee...just some sweatner.

So, tomorrow morning we will begin the journey home. We will leave our hotel at 4:45am local India time. That's 6:15pm Friday night central time (in Birmingham) and then hopefully, I will walk in the door to my house at approx 10:45am on Sunday morning. That's one long trip. The route is: Depart Kochi - change in Doha, Qatar - arrive Washington Dulles Saturday night - drive from Dulles to BWI - spend Sat night at Airport Marriott, depart BWI Sunday morning on Southwest for Birmingham.

I'm looking forward to getting home to the wife and kids. Also, I'll be able to get in a proper run out on the road. No more treadmill for a while.

Well, it's about lunch time. And I have one final presentation to make to the staff this afternoon.

This evening, I will post a few more pictures from the trip.

Good morning to all who follow. Have good runs today. VRAA begins today for those of you who are signed up. Good luck. My team's gonna win!!!
