Running news:

Well, the weather here was beautiful yesterday. Sunny and not too warm (75 or so). Just nice. Such a nice change from what I have been running in with rain, humidity and heat. Nevertheless, my run was TEH SUCK. I didn't have a Litch kind of run but within the first 2 miles, 2 bees hit my face. Luckily no stings. That would have sucked. Eventhough it wasn't hot, I was terribly thirsty and gorged myself on water when I could. It didn't seem to help. Also, my garmin was being a annoying mofo and lying to me. 2 miles were supposedly 13 minutes, it kept on telling me it had low signals and beeping (to which I answered "fuck you" and for at least 8 minutes, I ran, and it didn't move. grrrrr....when you are doing a flipping out and back, you need the distance to be right. Every mile was a struggle and it never felt right...never. I drug my butt through that run wishing that I didn't sign up for a marathon. grrrr

Good thing about the run:

I saw an exchange point for Korbel's relay. I was at 7 miles at that point and asked the volunteer when they were going to come through. "Pretty soon", she said. So instead of going across the river, I ran 1 more mile* (*which because of my garmin was more like 1.5 or so). I was hoping to see Dom so I could yell some encouragement. I was also toying with the idea that I would run with him a bit, but honestly, that wasn't going to happen..every mile sucked. I didn't get to see Dom but I did see the leader come through. A freaking gazelle running 6 min miles. Dang boy. You've been running for that long and you still look like that. Amazing people those built for running (unlike me).

And now to you folks:

Prae - great job girl even with the peeing. Hey, running is about the uncomfortable and that would be majorly uncomfortable. You rocked your first 5K and each race teaches you something. I use the bathroom about 5 times before each race. Nerves. That EMT guy was a prick. I would have yelled at him. "hey fuckwad, I did train and I know enough that I just went out too fast. So give me some damn treatment and keep your attitude to yourself. Don't make me send Voo or Theia after your ass"

Crane - when I was in kindergarten, a priest (I went to a catholic school) was talking to us in the coming back from the bathroom break line and he stopped and asked me if I liked school so far. I threw up right on him, in front of everybody. I can relate. Feel better girl. This stuff is scary.

M&M - great 5 miler. Beer is always deserved

Poor peeps in the heat and crap - that blows. autumn is coming!!!

James Page Beer Run - same day as the White Bear Lake 20 mile race. I'll be doing that one.. I will be dying.
