Just got back from the park. OHR W1 is complete. Odd weather- the temperature (79) was equal to the humidity (79). The nice thing was the temp was a bit lower and there were very cloudy skies. That is as close as we will get to any hurricane rain. I don't know if it was the temperature drop or what but my pace was a minute and a half faster for each mile. That's with no conscious effort. It was funny I got to my normal ending distance marker and looked at the ipod and it read 27:28. So I kept chugging a little further. Well I hope you all have a great weekend. I'll be back sporatically.

Newbie question. Speaking of cooler temperatures..... is there a correlation of temperature and pace? By that I mean if it were 60 degrees with a nice cool breeze blowing would I be less drained than by my normal 90 degree muggy mornings? Logically you would say yes. Yet does that mean my pace would necessarily improve??? Todays quicker pace with lower temps just had me thinking that's all. I also realize that the longer I stick with this program and stay consistent that my pace and overall conditioning will improve. My elders I would be most curious as to your opinions on this matter.

Ok here is today's "I couldn't make up something this funny if I tried" random happening. I just went to ticketmaster's website to double check the prices of the ZZ Top tickets. You know how it gives you that random generated word/letter combo that you have to type in to proceed?? Guess what it was for me as I looked up ZZ Top tickets?...........

I kid you not. I couldn't think of that on my own

I received a nice unexpected compliment at church today. There is a person from church who I see at the park from time to time walking. I tried to get him interested in cool runnings and the c25k program way back in March. Today in passing he said "you must be still on that cool runnings program. I can tell it's working you have lost weight." I told him I finally finished it after 5 months due to two delays with runners knee.

That was cool to get a compliment. I mentioned before I have my eyes fixed on that darn scale which tells me I have not lost a pound. Yet I am almost an inch slimmer in the waist. Anyway he's the second person, sister being the second, who said they thought I had lost weight. That's nice motivation to keep going and to be a good boy with my eating habits.
