Hi all- went to bed early early last night (like 9 pm) so woke up pretty early. It's hot hot hot here as well. Makes me almost glad I can't run! I did quote requests for cross-country movers- should be getting follow up calls on those soon. Panic mode is setting in. I think I'll go through my clothes today and weed through stuff.<br>

Yup, it is hot here. I have my mom, sister, and niece coming over for brunch in 2 hours. I truly hope to get to the gym later today, since I didn't yesterday.<br><br>
Despite a cup-and-a-half of coffee, I can't get my brain to spit out anything else interesting. I would like to just commend <b>kini</b>, though, on your running. You're at the point where you just casually mention finishing up a 3-miler. And good luck to <b>Prae</b> and other racers.

Good on you guys for getting up so early for those long runs on a Sat! I seriously can't wait till it's cooler and I have the option to run whenever I feel like it! Last night would have been nice for a run after we got some showers. YES! Rain!! First time in weeks! Unfortunately, it was late when I left (well, 10;30- too late for a run outside) and I'd been drinking a little. So, my little plan for getting up early today was not to be. I will just have to run after body pump at the gym. Looks like it's supposed to rain again, so hopefully it will be cooler for my LR tomorrow!<br><br>
Well, I just want to repeat- GOOD LUCK to all our racers- Prae, Kris (Bard), Nick, Korbels and someone I'm forgetting! Gah!! So sorry!! Good morning and hello weekend! DH leaves for New Zealand today for the week. Today is rest day, but I'll be meeting up with Heather tomorrow for a run. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_cheers.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="cheers"> I'm going to drop the two munchkins at my moms tonight and have a night off and completely alone. I do love Moe's description. I think we should use it. Now, if we could only come up with a fun name. I've completely exhausted my brain trying to come up with something. I've got nothing.<br><br>

Ummm..do I live in the rainforest? There is so much condensation on my windows I can't see out them, just a blur of green. Disgusting!<br><br>
If DH would wake up and I hadn't just eaten an omelette w/ tequila lime salsa I would go out for a quick run however, I think I will have to wait a bit now. I don't plan on doing much distance since I want to bring Bella and she's a newbie runner dog so I guess the temperature won't really make a difference.<br><br>
Today we are going to the pool. It closes tomorrow and I have to pick up the lawn chairs and umbrellas. I'm not sure if its a perfect day for the pool or if it will be even too hot for that!<br><br>
Tonight I am going to dinner and a play called "Menopause" with my cousin and some of her friends. It should be fun.<br><br><b>Moe-</b>I did say I was going away but not until next Friday/Saturday. We're heading to South Carolina to see my inlaws. They live in Bluffton right across from Hilton Head. I can't wait. I haven't had a real vacation since Cape Cod the September before last. I need some R&R.<br><br>

My cold has morphed into asthma/wheezing/tightness. Not good. I'm using my scary inhaler to try to get the symptoms to calm down, and I'm picking up a homeopathic remedy today to see if I get this under control. I don't know what to do about my LR tomw--4 miles. We're also golfing 18 holes tomw. I might try to run on the TM in the morning, see how it goes, but walk it if need be. I *think* I can actually run 4...but not if my lungs aren't cooperating.<br><br>

Cripes. Worst conditions I've ever run in. It's 80 degrees here now and the humidity is about 100%.<br><br>
For the first time since May 20th, I ended up taking walk breaks during a run. I hated doing that, but running in this soup made running seem like a huge effort. So I took walk breaks. Yuck.

I'm in bridal shower/bachelorette party mode for a friend today. Shower this afternoon, followed by a booze cruise.
