Morning all,

Get up and get that coffee going, it's a new week!

One of the perks of being in India is that I can wait until lunch time to post and still get to start the daily thread.

I've just completed another presentation to our development group. My throught is sore from presenting so much and I have to do two presentations a day for today, tomorrow and wed.

I did get up early (the effect of jet lag) and went to the gym and pounded out 7 kms on the treadmill. Yes, the treadmill is in metric, not english measures.

GREAT Job to all of our weekend racers!!! Can't wait to read the reports. Sounds like the crew had a great time in SF.

Well, lunch is waiting for me in the conf room, so I guess I should go. I'll catch up on the thread after you guys have a chance to write something.

Thanks for all the cudos on the pics. ManAlive - yes, the poverty is tough to look at, but the people are great! In some ways, they seem almost too nice, if that's possible. But, we're getting along fine, and our work seems to be productive.

Later all,
Hey Tim.

I'm still waiting on the synapses to start firing. Just taking a rest day today from workouts. Taking an easy week with the running this week, ticked over 14 miles last week.

Morning Tim, Scratch and all to come...

Terrible night sleeping. No puppy walk so the house is in chaos. It's gonna be a long day.

Mid day workout on the schedule, probably 3 or 4 and some weights.
Maybe I'll feel better after I work out.
Maybe if I keep saying that I'll feel better.

Good days and runs to you all.
Morning 30s

My ankle hurts. I know exactly the reason but it doesn't make it less sore. All the side stroke yesterday is the problem. I have this weird quirk where I can only scissor kick one way (right leg forward, left leg back and close) and after a while (hmmm...say 2 hours) the motion hurts my left ankle. My legs in general are tired and my neck is still stiff, but otherwise, I'm ok. I can't believe I got up yesterday at 3:45am, never took a nap, ran around all day, made dinner, dyed 2 dresses, sewed, and went to bed at 10:30. And I got up this morning at 5:45. Maybe I'm so old now, what with my birthday last week and all, I don't need as much sleep.

I don't know if I'll be running today, but it's thunderstorming here, so I won't be walking this morning.

Again, CONGRATS all racers this weekend!!!!

I'll check in later for [HOLY F'ING CARP, I THINK LIGHTNING JUST STRUCK THE GROUND OUTSIDE MY HOUSE!!!] for a qod.

Morning all!

I have a QOD: Would you all be interested in a CD swap? Me and Kini were on Yahoo chat and she was asking me about a song and band I never heard of and we thought it might be a good idea to have a 30s CD swap (a compilation of whatever songs you like).

Ok, gotta do stuff.

Morning gang.

Once again my congratulations go out to all the SF runners!

Nice job.

I was able to track down results from the "Jay" and Myron!

http://www.coolrunning.com/results/0...Cha_set1.shtml

9:03:26.89

I simply can not even comprehend running for 9 hours, especially in those conditions. Way to go Myron. Amazing job. Can't wait to hear the RR.

Morning, all--

Congrats to the weekend racers! You are all my inspiration.

Ran 2.37 miles in 30:03. Typical run -- too fast to start, thought I was going to die by the end. I decided to run down hill at the start and uphill at the end. I think I'll run the route backwards on Wednesday. It's funny. . .I rode my bike for a very short distance yesterday, mostly downhill (wimped out and drove my bike home after helping a friend move), but my legs felt awful this morning. It gave me even more admiration for the tri- and duathletes in the bunch.

Since this is my last run in July. . .

Total miles -- 29.2
Total time -- 6:14:53

I could have run for 7 more seconds this morning if I had know that's all I needed for a nice round number. I'm proud of myself!

Hey folks!!!

First off, huge congrats to all our weekend racers. Myron, an amazing acomplishment!!!! To the San Fan crew, good stuff!!!! Still waiting to hear from KJ but also wanted to say a huge congarts to Moe for all of her amazing work!!!

I got an amazing brick workout in Sat, 10mins bike, 5 mins run (at 9min miles, fast for me), 4 sets. Then I did lots of core work, NICE!!!!

Let me see if this works, a shot of my new do!! Not as dramatic as Tonya's but I was chicken to go too short!

QOD: I have gotten CDs that some 30'shave made for me! I LOVE it, sort of like the beer club idea. It exposed me to a few new bands I had never heard of and gave me some great new stuff to run to. I would be into it if anyone else was!!!

Ok, will check back in later!

Good morning! It's a gorgeous day outside, although a bit humid, but no run, today is biking and weights day. Later I'll take the girls to the water park. That's exercise in itself!

Question: I've been stuck at 3 miles for the past 3 weeks. Anyone know what I can do to get to 3.5, even 4? Just do it? I just don't feel like I can keep going when I get to 3, maybe I should try and see?

QOD: I love this idea! I'm in.
A huge congratulations to the SF runners. Great job!

BG - Congratulations on the new house. NICE!

Doc the problem with consensual is that you have a hard time proving it. I mean, what if bruce says I only consented to 11 miles....
Hey, everybody. Well, it's Monday again...

I didn't check in at all over the weekend, so I have no idea what's been going on. I don't know what happened in SF, or anywhere else. I'll try to check thru other threads, but can anyone post a brief recap?

Anyway, my weekend was a little rough. My dad is home and recovering. But he's not entirely comfortable. And he's weak as a kitten. I think he'll be okay, but it might be a while before he's back to normal...

I did manage to get in one run over the weekend. I had originally wanted to do a nice long run on Saturday, but it just wasn't in the cards. I only had time for about 4 miles. Oh well.

Today will officially begin marathon training for me. I've chosen to do the same training plan I did last time, and today calls for a 6 mile tempo run. I feel really exhausted/drained right now, so I'm not sure I'm gonna do a very good job at it tonight. Plus, there might be some thunderstorms around this evening. I have a nasty feeling as though I'm gonna be behind schedule after the very first day of training. Ugh...

yes! And for part of the time, it was thundering and lightning...so I was able to convince people that I had extra powers.

but really, I was doing this...
[shameless attention whoring]

[/shameless attention whoring]
it's not often that i like my own photos, but i actually kinda dig these...

Hey Bob just wanted to let you know that I had a crappy recovery from my gall bladder surgery. Everyone said it would be a piece of cake, 2-3 days at most. 2 weeks later I was still in pain, and to this day (a year later) I still have pain at my incision sites. Just telling you so you know recovery might not be as easy as people may have let on. I will keep up the good thoughts for your pops!
