Hey, all--

Got out for the first time since my race this morning (would have posted earlier, but I got to the hacked front page, and didn't realize that the forums were fine). Anyhow, I ran a very easy 2.33 miles in just over 30 minutes, including a sucktastic hill, so I felt good about the effort. I'm having my mole removed on Thursday, so I'm going to try to run again tomorrow and Thursday morning before the procedure, if I can. It felt strange to be on the road again, but I was really happy when I finished. I had some more gas in the tank, but it was more important to get the time in than push myself too hard, so I'm happy with the effort. I'm curious to see if I can stick with OHR w6, or if I end up scaling back to w5 because of the break. Thank God for the improvement in weather. Though I was sweaty and breathing moderately hard, it feels like the middle of winter (not Winter -- love the cut, BTW) compared to last Saturday.

In other news, the conference in Chicago went well, including my three interviews (2 schools in GA and one in Colorado). I'll send applications to all three (plus about 50 others), but hopefully I made a good impression. Apparently, some people think I'm aggressive, so maybe what I thought was good was frightening to the interviewers. I didn't get that sense, but one never knows. I like to think it's assertive, but aggressive might be more accurate. Thanks, Kini for remembering my birthday on Saturday. It was very relaxed, though almost all of my friends stood me up for dinner. Oh, well. That's the problem with celebrating a birthday out of town.

Yay! to all of the excellent running. Keep up the excellent work, folks!
