I reckon it's about 5 a.m. on the East Coast right about now. It's 10 a.m. in Brighton, England. Did an 8-miler this morning while everyone was going to work and school. Ran down to the coast and back.

Trip's been great so far. Ate lunch yesterday while watching an air show. I guess a plane crashed at that show Saturday and killed the pilot. It's pretty interesting over here, I must say. We all got pretty trashed Saturday night at the reception after the renewal of the vows.

Haven't had a chance to catch up on the thread at all. Hope everyone's doing well.

I've got to jump off here, but I thought I'd check in and let everyone know I was still alive.

Cheers!

Morning.. I'm up. Really considered going back to sleep several times as I hit "sleep" again. But I am gonna go out for an easy 3.25 or so this morning. I usually take the day off after LR's but wanted to see how it goes if I just do a few miles.....

Anywho, I never got back on yesterday- WOOHOOO to MOOOOOON on his tri! Great job! I need to read all the weekend RR's. Perhaps I can get to them at work today! (I mean, who works AT work?? Morning!

Did not want the sleeping to end, but work is work. I'll run in the afternoon and may attempt to make up the run I skipped yesterday. Let's just say... I should not be allowed to drink that much.

Morning folks, freaking cold in my office right now!!!! Yikes!!!

So I just caught up on weekend race reports! You all are an amazing bunch, really fabulous work my friends!!!!

Didn't get anything more than some walking in this weekend. Went to support my friend as she competed in the Danskin tri. She absolutely rocked it! I was so proud of her! I knew she was going to have a good day when they shortened the swim course (not that she wouldn't have with the longer swim but I think it gave all the racers a big old mental boost!!). Also got to meet another KR member who kicked some serious butt in her first tri as well!!!

Supposed to swim today but doubt that will happen, heading to the Ealges game tonight!!

Guess that is it for now!!! Again, good stuff this weekend runner, good stuff indeed!

Morning, all--

Run was a little uncomfortable this morning. Don't know if that's a function of too little sleep, 44* weather, or only having one rest day. Still, got 2.52 miles in 30:32, so I'm happy. Now I'm running late, though, and need to get showered and on the bus. I hope everyone has a great day!

Hey there and good morning. I'm still shaking off the sleep and wishing for an IV to administer the wake up juice.

Looks like I'll have to spend some time in the RR forum today.

Big week for me this week. It's time to go over 20 miles of running in a single week and take my next long run step to put me on the doorstep of 10 miles in one run the last weekend of September. I get through these next 2 weeks and it'll be a big boost of confidence for November and the half-marathon.

Hey all. Amazing representation this weekend! I'll never remember everyone, but needless to say, I'm impressed by the showings all around...PRs, AG wins, extreme-super-speediness. Great work!

Transatlantic hello to Voo! Glad you're having a great time!

I booked my travel too late last week and couldn't get a seat on the 6:45am flight to Baltimore. Boo. I have to get to work at 1pm. Booooooo...yah, right. Thank goodness I get a few morning hours to myself.

So I got my 7 in yesterday - it's been a while since I've run longer distance...where does the time go? I was achey and muscle-crampy at various points. Not because of the distance, just because my body hates me.

Today is stretch/strengthen day - yay! I've been very diligent with my pushups and various arm toning every other day...though by the time the wedding comes around I may just end up freakishly strong and not nearly tone enough. But I'm doing it.

Have a great day, all!

So what is up everyone?

I did not get up and run this morning. I was so tired, so very tired. Hopefully the rain waits until after my 10 miles.

I went to the gym yesterday lifted and biked, and man, my ass hurts. I must have biked harder than I thought.

Congrats on all the PRs this weekend. Totally awesome!

I read a bunch of RR last night, what fun.

Good Morning
If we are ever able to get anything other than dial up for internet service at home, I may get the patience to post on weekends. DSL is a mile away in either direction.....

Great job racers

Saturday I had to take a cat nap before going to complete week 6. 15 minutes of continuous running. It was quite cold out (at least for me) but I got it done. It was getting dark when I left the house so T told me to watch out for coyotes. I can handle seeing gentle animals during my run, but when the predators start popping out of whatever they live in...it is time to get running faster. No animal incidents to report, just one tussle with a big tree limb that I got my leg wrapped in.

Went to the local 5k race on Sunday, took DS#2 with me. We really enjoyed it. He wants to run it with me next year. He is only 9, so I am not sure he will want to when it comes around again. I am going to encourage him.

Morning all,

Legs are still a little tight. Today's a planned rest day anyways, so tomorrow it's back to the training grind.

Congrats to all of those who are posting rocking race reports. What a great weekend for the group. I brough the USAF C-5 medal (major bling) into the office. The people here already think I'm nuts.

Today's going to be crazy at work, and DW was up in the middle of the night puking, so I'm probably going to be in superdad mode tonight. I have to coach my soccer team at practice tonight and get DD over to hers at the same time, then feed them, showers and all of the other bed time ritual. Good thing I'm not traveling this week.

Norah, I've got to book myself up to Columbia for next week. Looks like I'll be on the first flight Monday morning.

I'll check back for QOD.

Later peeps.
Happy Monday Gang!

It's amazing what a day of rehydrating can do!

Yesterday was a lovely day, an ugly run, but a lovely day. And, the run, while ugly, was still 5 miles! Took the husband and the camera down to the river yesterday evening and had some fun playing on the rocks as well.

Today's a swim at lunch, maybe a row this evening and steaks on the grill for supper. Actually did all my accounting homework yesterday so I get to focus on finance today and tomorrow. That'll be nice.

Again - I am so impressed with all of our racers this week-end!! Y'all really do make me proud!!

HH - Your car pictures are glorious. I love how you see the world!!

Have lovely days, folks!
