Good Monday morning to everyone. First of all, still no baby for us. She's now 5 days overdue. So what's the latest with the pool? I know I'm eliminated. How many people are left?

There were some great races this weekend. Great work, guys! I had a decent 20 mile run. I'll take it.

I'm now beginning the hardest two weeks of my training. At least according to the schedule. A baby might have a little bit to say about that, however. Oh well, I won't be too upset if she makes me miss a run or two this week.

Well, I guess my daughter doesn't want her daddy to start his vacation quite yet, so I'm heading back to work this morning. Whooppee....

Um, Moon, tell your friends that there is no such word as "ya". Thank you. As you can see, it's just a small pet peeve of mine!

So, I slept like total crap last night. Awake and tossing and turning most of the night. I forgot to turn on the alarm (that I set) to get up early to run, but I was awake anyway. Since I had hardly slept, I voted to skip the run and lay there with my brain running instead for another hour. Of course, it's still going to be in the 80s for the next week at least. That cool weather last Thurs. was just a tease. I just hope we don't skip fall and go straight into winter.

Bob tell Maggie I hope the baby comes soon! Sorry she's gone so far past the due date. Fingers crossed she delivers soon!

Racers Gotta give you props once again! Woohoo!! Congratulations. Laura, that BQ is in your hands. You'll get it for sure in AZ.

Prae Congrats on finally signing up for Philly!

Ok, should go get ready for work I guess. I wish I could just try to get some sleep instead. Gah.

Later!

Morning folks.

No running for me this weekend... as I was mostly a bum. Though, I no longer have a sore throat (for the first time in about 5 days), so that's a good start. I'll get on the TM tonight for a few.

I haven't caught up on the weekend thread, but it looks like we had some awesome races! Extra kudos to the sagey types, and anyone else who just totally kicked ass!!

Bob - You're good through Wednesday, baby-wise. Enjoy your runs till then! Seriously though, I hope Maggie's handling things as well as can be expected. Please give her our best wishes.

Y'all - Southern-based contraction derived from the words "you" and "all". Gotta agree with Maccabeth, here.

Okies.. gotta finish getting ready and head to work. I'll check in again soon.

WOn't be back to check on you's guys until later tonight, but I'll be thinking boutcha all.

Oh and one more thing, I saw a nice pic. post yesterday of a side veiw of a leg/bum didn't notice a tatoo, was there one?

Big Congrats to EQ for his PR at Baystate! Great Job!

Trigirl sorrry to hear about you being oh so close to a BQ - I know that has to be a heart breaker!

Mandy that's a good looking crop - of course I generally like spicy foods and peppers, so that might skew my opinion

Ramsey I hope Mrs. Soul is recovering well. That was a heck of a performance - she was right in there with the pro's at a world championship event - absolutely amazing!

That's it for now all - I better get to work.

ETA Hang in there Bob!

Mornin' gang!

Just checking in to see if we have our new 30s baby yet! Good vibes for Maggie!

Got a longish run done this weekend. Afterwards my back was quite sore. I've been getting a lot of pain since I had the baby...right from my neck to my tailbone. It's usually worse after a run. A friend suggested I see a chiropractor so I'm gonna call one today. Never been to one before. Anyone?

Roo that's a nice crop you got there!

I'm off to read up on the weekend events!

The one you're missing is the deal breaker, though. Do you have a brother?

Supposed to run this morning, but I have a headache and I couldn't get out of bed. Since I have my procedure on Wednesday, I really want to get in two runs this week, and therefore. . .I'm going to try to run after school this evening. It'll be my first evening run, and the likelihood of me doing it is not actually very high, but it will be warmer than right now (43*) so that might get me out. I just have a deadline today that I don't think I can meet if I go running today. I'll let you know how that works out.

When I was signing up for Philly last night, I noticed that they're offering a $15 discount in the full and half for any Chi-town people who want to race. Offers only good until Nov. 1, or all the slots fill up, so if you know anyone who might want to take advantage of that (Maria's sis?), pass the info along. Offer not good on the 8k.

Have good days everyone!

Good morning everyone!

Resting today, I'm sore from racing, followed by a long run the next day. Yes, I'm crazy. I did cut the LR short though. Today I'll make some version of banana bread (aka "cake" in kid-speak) and make those little ones happy.

Tiff, nice of you to pop in!

prae, I'm glad you registered.

Bob, my guess of 10pm tonight is still valid, you never know!

Clare, I went to a chiropractor when I was pregnant. I never agreed with them before that. Now I think they are absolutely wonderful. GO!

Need ... more ... coffee ...

Wow this morning I got to the park for my workout and my body abruptly told me:

"hey dude you are pushing 40, you didn't get but 6 hours of sleep because you were stupid and stayed up late, you didn't warm-up sufficiently and you are going to be sore just because I feel mean today. Thank you. Good day"

And with that I struggled to complete my OHR. LOL Good thing it was the 30 minute day 1 of week 7. *phew* any other distance would have been rough. BUT I did it.

And with that I bid you all good morn. Gonna brush me toofs and head out to work. More to post when I get there.

Oh Bob by my calculations you have about 1 day and just under 3 hours to go. Tell your wife so she can sort of know the timetable. I'm sure she'd appreciate it.

Didn't get much more myself. Gave my dad a couple-a big as your head tomatoes, ate one and hank thought the other was a ball. He wants this one a lot. Also, something keeps eating my stuff...grf. Thinking BLTs tonight. The other stuff wound up on a pizza last night.

So last week I was sick and didn't stay home because I had tons of stuff going on. Today I have tons of stuff going on and want to stay home exactly for that reason (hiding) but am not sick.

Can anyone write an excuse for me?

Go BabyBob!! Maybe if we made up a cheer she'd come? Do you think she'll come out with pictures of her journey like her dad? "That's me at the start of birth...this is me half way through with the rest of the crew..."

Teasing. I hope she does come soon!

I didn't eat well this weekend and am paying for it today--my guts are a mess. Therefore, I'm with Scratch in grumpy-ville.

(((Laura))). It'll come--it will. Many have been where you are--the golden BQ ring is just a wee bit out of reach. Hang in and rest up!

PS- In the category of other people to watch for speed besides Sage, KP has been somewhat quietly but consistently making good progress. Shhh...

HH - great photos - how did you light them?

Thiea - jealous of hubby's tri adventures, huh?

EQ - nice bounce back after your DNF in Alaska. Perfect running weather in the NE yesterday.

trigirl - Sorry for the near miss - you will get there.

Flem - love the hiking\family pics.

3 M this AM, 6.5 yeaterday. Right knee is sore, probably from yesterday's 6.5, which was hilly.

Yesterday was also DD's first Cheerleading Competition of the year. Her team won their division, so they now will be competing in the New England Regionals on Thanksgiving weekend. If they finish in the top 2 there, they compete in Disney the following weekend.

Like Scratch, I am grumpy today too. For several reasons. One thing that irked me yesterday was the parent of one of DD's teammates. This parent asked me if the league would help pay travel expenses should the girls go to Disney. (I am on the league's Board). They short answer is yes. Their daughter is a 'scholarship' athlete, which means that they do not have to pay any fees to play (Annual fee is $180). The league will waive the entry fee for anyone who is part of the subsidized school lunch program. It is a need-based, but the Pop Warner organization does not have to do much to prove need - if they school district has already deemed them eligible for the lunch program.

All of that is fine - and the right thing to do. But earlier in the day, this particular parent had shown off his brand new Nikon D40 digital camera (which he told me he got with accessories, etc for about $700), and that he had spent the last week with the TV show Pinks - where he had spent $10,000 on credit cards to build a drag racing car (out of his own pocket), which he LOST to the producers of the show when he lost the drag race. But he still wants Pop Warner to pay for his daughter to go to Disnet. Asshat.

Sorry, I know that is completly irrelevant to anything, but it pissed me off.
