Mornin' all!!

Stuck at work all night. Such is the life of a schlub (sp?) who is going on vacation. Yep. You heard me. Tuesday - at the crack of dawn - we are catching a flight to Cabo. Of course, they are predicting clouds and isolated T-storms for the first 3 days we are there. too bad. I am having fun, and no one is stopping me.

While the scanner was doing its thing (I am taking a couple of files with me - on a flash drive), I was able to catch up on a few of the threads. You folks are a chatty crowd these days.

Hope all your races went well this weekend. I will follow the thread for a little while - assuming there are replies at this GAWDAWFUL time of day, then will try to check in again tonite.

Be well!!

I feel like I may just sitting at my desk. I'm sure the bouncing around during the run will make my belly feel just great.

Actually, I anticipate feeling better after the run... I hope. Looks like it may rain as well.
Rain could help with clean-up in the case you do pull a Nettie. Jus sayin'
Voo is too hardcore for such! I should contact him for some tips actually.
Speaking of which I didn't realize how much vomit I got on my clothing until the next day. Eww.
also, this keeps Maria from judging your speed and stride
Let us remember that not only do I live in Duluth (and have land for those willing to camp) BUT I have many friends upon whom I have no shame imposing. . .

I'm just saying don't automatically rule me out. . .

Okay - Pilsners are posted in the PRT.

Hi. Don't have time to read; have to leave for Dragon Boat row practice in a few minutes. But I wanted to say hi.

Hi.
Wow, we're getting some serious rain and some good sized hail here. 2in/hr, penny-sized ice. Nice....
Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are all having a nice Monday afternoon. I did not run yesterday because of blisters from the heels I wore Saturday night. I shall be running tonight though. I sat down last evening and sort of created a training plan to build miles. Since I finished c25k I have not really been doing anything structured. Just setting a distance goal and trying to hit it. I decided I need to lay out a more structured plan to help me keep on course. My goal is to be able to complete a 5k with out a walk break. My target to hit that goal is the first Saturday in September. I am sure I can hit it before then, but I want to allow for some wiggle room in case of minor injury or illness.

GoV - Have a great vacation.

Theia - I hope your tri went well.

Mr. Theia - congrats on the IM.

Map- congrats on the new 4-legged family member.

Bob - As long as you are home before she is, I don't see a problem. But that is just me. Good luck if you run.

Ny Maria - Very cute pictures.

Flem - ugh on the snake.

PhillyTom - great reference to the Princess Bride.

Phdatc - glad you are feeling well enough to get out the aren run.

2oh - I hope your neck feels better soon. I hate it when that happens.

Solar - congrats on getting the rainy run done.

Nettie - Me, me, me, but then again I noticed last night. *grin*

Cactus - I have non-running people who don't understand why I am running, but no one has ever made that type of comment to me before. I would just avoid the topic with her as well.

QOD - I have yet to run outside where their are *gasp* people and sunlight. So I don't really know what I would notice.

I will check out the marathon meet up thread when I get a chance. I might be able to attend one since there is alot of notice. I however will not be in any shape to run a full, but the trip would be worth it to meet up with you guys. Ok time to get ready for work.

We are supposed to get some of that rain either tonight or tomorrow. Thank goodness. We need it.
It's such a treat when it rains here. And it drops the temperature, too, which is nice. We went from 95 to 68 in about half an hour. I may need to put a sweater on.
to say the least....ouch!

hey, I'm hoping to bang out another (buy-in) Boston in '08, but really want to do a destination marathon...I'll just have to really convince DW - we'll have a newborn then, so it'll be tough.
I like your line of reasoning. Ladies I bet it is probably beyond obvious and sad how erm..... obvious we men folk are with our eyes. Jeff Foxworthy always recommends shades because "wifes can hear neck muscles creakin". hehe
Okay boys - now would YOU rather be plainly ogled or surreptitiously?
Like Jerry told George - "It's like looking at the sun, you gotta glance and look away, glance and look away"
