Mornin' all!!

Stuck at work all night. Such is the life of a schlub (sp?) who is going on vacation. Yep. You heard me. Tuesday - at the crack of dawn - we are catching a flight to Cabo. Of course, they are predicting clouds and isolated T-storms for the first 3 days we are there. too bad. I am having fun, and no one is stopping me.

While the scanner was doing its thing (I am taking a couple of files with me - on a flash drive), I was able to catch up on a few of the threads. You folks are a chatty crowd these days.

Hope all your races went well this weekend. I will follow the thread for a little while - assuming there are replies at this GAWDAWFUL time of day, then will try to check in again tonite.

Be well!!

Morning all! Will have to spend some time catching up on all the haps from the weekend; I couldn't keep up with the thread while at my parent's home. We did have a wonderful trip to STL and a great time at my neice's baptism. It's so fun having all your family around you, knowing we don't just hang b/c we're blood but rather b/c we're buds! Coupla wicked games of a$$hole nearly had some of my sibs missing the baptism yesterday morning; it's rough being beer wench too. Anywho, got some miles slated for today that I'll turn into a speed workout in prep for this weekend's HM. Will probably end up with about 10 for the day.

I've got loads of new pictures too; here are two of my favorites. First, pilates baby...

And one of the girl that could sleep anywhere. She crashed while sitting up...

QOD Like Brandy, on women I notice their clothes first and then how hard or not hard they're running. On dudes, it's their stride and/or abs (if shirtless) - I nearly always make an internal comment about whether I'm running the same pace, faster or slower than them. Competitive much?

And yes, Voo, being asshole sux - luckily my little sistas took turns being low man on the totem pole leaving me to BW.
I notice foot strike, cadence, high/low knees, crazy legs, shuffling, high/low heels, etc etc
None of this would matter if you were running without a shirt on

Re: Spring '08 Marathon - I have no doubt sis #2 will BQ in Chicago so I'll go there to support her and would LOVE LOVE LOVE to do a destination marathon next year.
That's no fun.

My focus would then turn to if I could run faster than you in the imaginary race taking place in my mind.

ETA - thanks bOB ...it's still there as a goal for me but really, sis is FLYING these days. We ran our LR at around a 9:05-9:10 pace and it was purely for me; she could have blasted those 18 miles out at 8:30
Lori - be sure to try some Catdaddy Moonshine while down in NC. There's a tasty recipe for Kitty Cosmos on the bottle
That's little sis #2 though it looks like it could be me from that shot. What you don't see is her very red hair and lack of the 35-40 lbs. I have on her. BTW, meeeeeow on that picture submission for the 30s calendar.

Oh, KP & Tonya, just got around to checking out your trip pictures - very cool shots!
We'd have to ditch Gobbles and strap on (hee hee) some of these... you know, keep the par-tay going

Rain could help with clean-up in the case you do pull a Nettie. Jus sayin'
Sissy! I just got back from a nice 6.85 @55:47 in the crap outside; it was INVIGORATING.

Thumbs up on the no-puke run, Voo

Row, row, row your boataleenie
Myron - what about the pizza? I'd run a 20:45 for really good pizza Congratulations!!! When are you and the fam headed up to VT?
