Last week was probably the most intense training week I've ever had.

The weekly totals were --
27 miles running.
271 pull ups
105 weighted pull ups, +14.3 lbs
555 push ups
25 wall assisted handstand push ups
116 chair push ups (use 2 chairs for the hands, a chair behind for the feet, allows the body to dip down lower and extend the range of motion)
20 weighted push ups, +14.3 lbs

I'm planning on a light and easy week for this one, hopefully close out the running year with a 5K on the 30th, that'll be weather dependent.

Scratch - my arms hurt just reading all of that!

I'm off for a run at the lake (probably about 7 miles) and then I'm driving into NYC for a week long marathon of Bikram Yoga. I made the mistake of promising a friend I'd try it, but only when I had the time to really take advantage of their intro week special ($23 for unlimited classes in one week).

Good Morning!

Crazy week Scratch, nice work. I topped at just over 65 last week, but did absolutely nothing else.

Easy 6 to get in this morning. These night football games are messing me up, especially when the Vikes blow it. Oh well, one more week of hope.

Hey, kids--

Got out for 2.56 this morning. It hurt worse than Saturday, but this is what happens when I take off for so long. Ate like crap yesterday. I don't think that Oreos and potato chips are good pre-run fuel. Hopefully, I'll keep my motivation up and get out at least twice a week through the winter. It was 32* when I left the house, but the cold wasn't a problem. I'm walking to yoga in about .5 hour and praying that the family's Christmas present arrives today. If not, I'm sending out a ton of post-Christmas packages.

Enjoy the day!

Nice work Scratch. That's a big week Jen.

This is from yesterday night's post:
I had 15 - 17 on the schedule today, but the holiday gremlins conspired to keep me from ever getting the time.

The most time that I could get was about 2hrs starting @ 7:00pm. So, I got out for 13.1 miles. It was relatively speedy, but very easy. Ended up with 13.1 in 1:43:41 (7:55 pace). I'm please with that two weeks after the RCM.

I ended up with 53 miles last week. And, I broke through 1600 miles last week. That's 1000 miles more than I ran last year! Still need to work on my year end recap.

Good runs to all today. Today's supposed to be a rest day, but I might sneak out for an easy 6 if I can.

I'm supposed to cross train but that probably won't happen. I have time before I go to my parents house but I feel too lazy on this day.

Ditto. Monday is normally a running day for me, but I don't know if it will happen. I'll take my stuff up to my parents for a Weds run. It'll have to do.

i haven't logged a run, i don't think, since september. its been part of my 'i don't need another thing like a job' philosophy. i might start in january again. i might not either.

today is a rest day on the schedule. i've got a puppy, however, who disagrees. we'll go for a walk (which will get on his nerves and get me the 'hey. lady. we ever gonna go??' look). I'd like to squeeze in a yoga/and/or pilates session. but don't know it that will happen. My dad just called to see if i want to go get coffee so I'll go do that and see what kind of time I have. Still have to wrap all my presents. That won't take long though.

Scratch...sounds like a rest week is well-earned and deserved - great job!!!

Jen, big week - congrats!

LH, Timr wow....I'm uber-impressed at your year's mileage. Amazing...

Sending good vibes to everyone in slacker mode...I'll be arriving there tomorrow....

As for me, I'm home in MD and am obviously on Prae's fuel plan Potato chips and pound cake and now I'm going to put my running clothes on... Today I've got 7 mi on tap through my old neighborhood. The good news: the weather is amazing, 45* and clear skies, and the deer are out to play! The bad news: my crazy army cousin has agreed to run with me for motivation and I think I might die....

Have a great day everyone!
