And now I'll post here....

Happy Birthday Voodoo!!!!

I love the time change...I was sleepy last night, pretty early, but I felt ready to get up this morning at 6:15. And it was daylight. Yay!

Thanks for the congrats on my "run" (sorry Theia) yesterday...I was pretty happy. I really need new shoes though and I can tell today...my mid-back (muscles, not spine) and knees hurt a bit. I hope to have some extra money this week and if I do, it's going to new shoes.

I dvr'd the Marathon program on PBS last night...a couple of people IRL have mentioned it to me, since they know I run.

Anyone seen Disturbia? Pretty good flick...watched it yesterday afternoon.

OK, I'm sure there is more to say, but I'll just have to check back in later....

Not sure where to post today, yikes!!! But since this is just a little spectator report from NYC I will put it here. Had a fabulous weekend with my DH in NYC. Didn't get up in time to see the trials but did get VIP passes from DH's friend so got to see all the winners. Ryan Hall was standing right next to me and I didn't realize it till he was walking away!!!

Spent all day Sat walking around the city, about 8 hours worth! Then hit Central Park for the fireworks. We apparently ended up in an area we weren't supposed to be in but they let us stay and we had a private fireworks show, they were setting them off 50 yards from us!!!

SUn got into the city around 7am and helped DH's friend get ready for the day (he is the official merchandiser for the marathon). It was actually tons of fun to see all the behind the scenes stuff. And this guy's office was like a playground for me. He shares office space with a Sports Management company (the company specializes in tris) and I was in awe of the pictures in the office! Met up with Solar at mile 26 and hung with her and her dad. Saw Lance come through (but we were the only ones who seemed to know it was him!!) Saw Pacer and Lora held up her green sign!! AS we were watching for others I saw a friend from grad school head by, yelled loud enough for her to hear me, it was great seeing her!! She finished strong! Missed LL but saw Maria who flashed us her patented smile!! Got to see LL and his beautiful family after!!

All in all it was an amazing weekend. Sorry for being so long winded!!! Will try to catch up on weekend stuff now!

Very cool Lori! Sucks you didn't realize it until he left. You could have gotten some good cameo's of you and him.

Happy belated Birthday, Voodoo!

Moe, I was in bed by a little after 10pm last night, which is really early for me. But, it was exactly 1 hour earlier than my usual target bedtime. Gee, wonder why?

QOD: are you a night owl or a morning lark by nature?

me, night owl by nature. There is a reason I don't run in the early a.m. and it isn't just because I don't have anywhere good to run in my immediate neighborhood.

I don't think I've adjusted to the time shift yet. I was awake at 3:15 or the old 4:15. Still a bit too early than I would have liked.

Every day, I'm getting more and more stoked about Philly. Yesterday me and my brother went into Philly to survey things up some and at one point we were driving by the zoo and I'm thinking, "This is going to be so cool, running by the zoo." But we still got 13 days to navigate til then.

Good morning all! NYC wasn't exactly what I trained for but it was my marathon. I didn't run a PR but I had zero mental hurdles and that made for a very pleasant experience despite my ride on the hurt train. Will also be getting together my NYC RR today.

Thank you to Alexis, Lora, Lori, Bob, PC, & LL + all the virtual 30s for making marathon weekend a spectacular one!!

QOD - Total night owl. I catch a second wind in the early evenings that doesn't help in getting to bed early.

Hi Gang -

This two-thread thing looks confusing and looks like I'm going to spend even more time messing around on the internet!

QOD: Total morning hawk. SO much easier for me to focus and accomplish things in the a.m.

Easy week for me - I go on a Girls Trip with 6 friends on Thursday. Going to Santa Monica. Can't wait!

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Belated Birthday Voo. Sorry that I missed it over the weekend, but then the weekend was one from hell. All I'll say is this: soccer season is over. On to hoops.

QOD - morning person. I can stay up late occassionally but I'm awake, even on weekends, by 7 or 730. Nature of my profression - too many preseasons getting into the athletic training room at 5 am to get ready for practices.
