Today's the first day of something we call global design. Which essentially means I will be talking to a group of people nonstop from now until February. I am so not ready for this, I'm always afraid that I'm not prepared, they'll find out I'm a fraud, that we'll run out of things to discuss, that we'll make the wrong decision.<br><br>
Until we actually get started, at which point I'll be fine. But this is the longest of these sessions that I've ever done, so I'm anxious.<br><br>
I do have a cat sitting between me and the computer screen - he's purring with some kind of ferocity. So it can't be all that bad of a morning...<br><br>

Well lets see....we started off the week with lost insurance cards. Can't order new ones....why? The insurance company can find me as a subscriber, just can't order the cards as we are a new group. Their website doesn't allow me to order them either.<br><br>
Xmas cookies are made, the kids and I made them Saturday night. DS#1 participated and even laughed quite a bit. That was a huge change from his usual teenage attitude.<br><br>

Yucky weather today. That's been a bit too common a refrain in these parts some lately.<br><br>
I'm trying a new basal insulin, Levemir. At my doctor's appointment on Friday, he hooked me up with a pharm rep's free Flexpen sample of it so I was willing to give it a try. The vial of Lantus I'd been using finally ran dry on Saturday night.<br><br>
That's the extent of excitement. Oh well.

Did some shopping downtown on Saturday - it's so nice to see some activity in the city. My shopping has been done so now while my DH is doing his christmas shopping I shop for myself!!!! I always seem to get the shopping bug around the holidays - about the only time of year it happens.<br><br>

Almost all doctors will call to verify eligibility even if you show them your card, and even if that's <b>not</b> their S.O.P., I can't imagine that they wouldn't call to verify if you told them your situation.

Hey folks!! Another Monday and another day closer to Christmas without being any closer to being prepared!! NICE!!! Did get a tree which apparently fell over last night after I went to bed. Poor DH, he tried to right and sure it up without waking me, he said he kept the cussing quiet!!!<br><br>
If you all have any spare good vibes, can you send them DH's way? He hasn't been feeling great lately, was sent for some tests and will see a pulmonary specialist this week. Over the weekend he had a chest Xray and the tech asked him if he had ever had surgey in his chest area. He siad yes, open heart, why? She said "Well, I am no doctor but there is definately something going on there." WTF?! WHat does that mean?! Luckily he told me this after we left or I would have freaked on her! So now we wait till Fri to find out what is going on!<br><br>
