Hi folks!! Up all night for no apparent reason. Surfing the net a bit of course -- among other things. Came across some ridiculously funny shit on Youtube. NSFW, due to language... The parody of David Blaine's street magic had me really cracking up. The two idiots he tortures with his magic are GREAT! 
not much else for me. I have a long day ahead after no sleep. THAT kinda sucks. DD is still here, and we are having a really nice time together. She leaves on Thursday, and then it is back to work! Hi ho, hi ho.

Happy NYE - hope everyone has a safe day\night, and a hangover free morning tomorrow. We had about 3" of snow last night, and are expecting more tomorrow. I had been thinking about a local 4 M race tomorrow (about a 10 minute drive from my house). It starts at 10, so I will keep an eye on the forecast. 
So, I have been playing with my new camera. Here are a few shots from yesterday's hockey practice for DS#2. The last one is my favorite. I'm paying another visit to Hell On Earth this morning - also known as taking the entire family to the 11 AM show of High School Musical - The Ice Tour. <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"> 
Then it's back home for some cooking in preparation for tonight's party at our neighbors.

Well, Happy Last Day Of The Year to everyone. And I hope all the sickos and sick kiddies feel better. 
As for tonight, still the same plans. After I get home from work, Maggie and I will take Jillian over to a friends' house for a little party. But it's a kid's party, so it'll be over by 8ish. Then we'll come home and decide whether we want to bother staying up until midnight. My gues is no. Heck, I got plans for a 13-mile run tomorrow morning, so I gotta be rested. <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif">

I'm at work too, though there is part of me that wishes I'd just called in. I slept horribly last night for no reason I can figure, and what's worse is that I'm again having some issues that caffeine would aggravate.

Well, the last day of the year started like most of the others: Solar wide awake thru the middle of the night. GoV - I should've hopped online -- we could have chatted! 
I guess the lack of sleep made me wacky in the brain, cause I got out of bed this morning and promptly started organizing my huge closet. that.is.not.normal. Good morning! LL I brought the kids to HSM The Ice Tour when it was in Hershey. It actually was kind of enjoyable. Of course, it was night,s o I had beer... (((soli's DS))) I hope he feels better soon.

I'm back home and getting back to normal mode. 
Tonight's NYE plans: taking the kids to Bethlehem for First Night; fireworks, music, and fun. None of the partying and such from the "old days". Tomorrow I plan on meeting up with others from the local Road Runners club and running the annual New Year's run. 
Great pictures Tim!! I'm jealous of your new camera, but definitely enjoying your photo posts. Do you have a photo account somewhere? Or will you be starting one?

Becca - thanks for the vote of confidence. I don't think they'll be serving beer at the 11 AM show. Although this is Philadelphia so maybe I'm wrong. In any case if I start drinking now I'm not sure what shape I'd be in by midnight tonight. Sloppy comes to mind. <img alt="wink.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/wink.gif"> 
Anyway we're off. See you on the flip side. 
P.S. - Question for the MAC users. Which do you use iWork or Office? The new iMac came with thirty day trials of both. However, Office is $400 to buy while iWork is under $100. Seems like a no brainer to me but wanted to know if any iWork users are missing out on anything by not being on Office.

Nothing exciting planned here. I am headed to the bank and then it is more bathroom renovations. I am hoping to sneak off to my favorite chair and do some crocheting. I should take down the decorations and tree sometime ((Solitot))

Morning all! Back in the office for what I'm hoping will be a short day; there is nuthin' going on here. 
Great pictures of DS, Tim ...he sure does look a lot like you! (((Solitot))) 
I use Office for Mac - it's easier to move work documents from the office to home in cases where I need to get stuff down outside of work hours. I also use(d) Entourage to sync with my Palm - looks like I may be able to continue using Entourage w/my iPhone <img alt="wink.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/wink.gif">

I plan to work on the bathroom most of the day. Yes, that remodelling project is still going on.

Larry, we haven't made it that far yet. One of my coworker raves about an apple based productivity suite. I'm not sure if it's iWork or not. I'll find out. 
I've also been pointed towards a thing called Neooffice. It's an open source (free) product that is compatible with Microsoft office formats.

G'morning all - if they dropped the ball yesterday in Times Square, I would've been up watching it; stayed up wayyyy too late yesterday. As it stands, I'll probably crash early tonight operating on less than 5 hours of sleep (at least they let us out 2 hours early here at work, not that I want to be here exactly.) TimLH - love the pics of DS there. In a tangential vein, anyone planning to catch the outdoor NHL hockey game tomorrow? Sure, it's all a ploy for ratings, but why not - I'm about od'd on college football at this point anyway. (((solitot))) Hope he gets recovers quickly! 
Wow, best of luck to you LL - I kinda' dread that day when my nieces' fave uncle maybe has a few too many and offers to take them all to something like that <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif">
