Hi Larry - enjoy the personal training.

Things are back to 'normal' now - kids back to school, wife back at work, etc. A few sniffles and such in the household, but it is January.

Our dishwasher died yesterday. Only abvout 14 hours into the new year and we have our first unplanned expense.

Moe - best of luck to your mom today. One of my personal heroes is my wife's Aunt Marie (who lives about 10 minutes from CoachT). She was first diagnosed with cancer 10 years ago. At that point, all she wanted was to see her three daughters get married. They got married, so all she wanted was grandchildren. She now has 7. She is the sweatest, warmest person in the world. My wife was inspired to become and Occupational therapist because of her. She has been through so many rounds of chemo, I do not think even she can keep track of it all. With the latest treatments she is getting, she went through several courses over the summer. She started the courses again in the first week of December, and on the second go around, she started losing her hair. She was talking to the technician about it, and the tech said that hair loss usually happens the first time people get that particular treatment. My aunt asked about typical side effects from the second go around. The tech told here that she had never met anyone that survived to the second round.

Good morning. Heading out the door to take DD1 to school. DD2 is sick in bed. (There goes today's workout ... out the window.) I'll try to put this down time to good use ... grocery list, car inspection, put together my New Year's resolutions ...

Hiya folks! Coming into work today was a chore! Hard to get back into the swing after a 4 day weekend!

I think my PF is flaring up again. My right foot is agonizingly painful! I hope to get to my doc this week but I don't know that it will do any good, can't take anything for it right now. But at least I will have a doctor's note if I do need a day off to rest it. Problem is my feet hae been swelling up a lot lately and that just makes it hurt 10 times more!

Moe Sending good vibes to your mom. As long as there are still options, there is still hope my friend!

LHTim wonderful story about your DW's aunt! She is a fighter, for sure! Here's hoping she defies more odds.

LLMummersberg did you end up making it to the parade? The day turned out beautiful!

Well, better try and motivate my lazy self. Hope you all have a great start to the new year! And it sure will be nice to have everyone back on the boards!

Moe fingers and toes are crossed, I will be thinking of her today

Good Morning

Back at work today. Going to try to get some semblance of order for the new year. I learned the auditors are going to be here on the 19th. I have nothing ready, still have a some time.

My kids go back to school tomorrow. I am ready even if they aren't. DS #2 went snowboarding yesterday with his new snowboard. When he gets home today, I will get a full report on whether he liked it or not.

Even with a house full of transitioning guests I would rather have the last 9 days I had off then logon to work today. I did not want to wake up.

Yesterday was a waste of a day for me, thanks to too much bubbly on NYE I had a sour stomach all day. So today feels more like the start of a new year for me. I am hoping this year is much better than last and I hope I can get myself centered again. First step is some organization in my finances, house and diet/exercise.

Prayers to your mom, Moe, that the chemo goes well.

Lori - yep we made it. It was a great day. A little on the chilly side. Not much sun in between the big buildings but we hung. We stayed until about 4. Saw all the comics and most of the fancies, no string bands. DD1 loved it. She came home with a ton of loot (an umbrella, beads, candy, stuffed toy.) She even got pulled into the crowd and was made a temporary member of one of the fancy brigades. She did a little strut. Cute stuff.

Moe, sending prayers and good thoughts for your mom (and you and the rest of your family) today.

Also, for those of you who have met Nick, his dad is having a heart procedure done today that the docs hope will correct some arrhythmia problems he's had. If you could send some good thoughts his way, I think they will be appreciated.

Not much going on with me otherwise. Just here at work, preparing for the new quarter. Classes start tomorrow.

Hey Heather, there was a photographer at the Race Against Time on Sunday. It seems he got a photo of a guy in a red hat.

http://picasaweb.google.com/yophotog...53015834710610

Thought you and Alexis might like that.

Mornin' all!!

I'm just glad the annual NYD hangover has subsided.

Starting out 2008 with absolutely no debt other than the house. Nice. I don't owe anybody anything. Hopefully 2008 will be the Year o' House Projects cuz I am one half-assed SOB when it comes to gettin' that stuff done.

Solar, you know, some of us supply photos with our front page stories. Just sayin'.

I've never tried that. I eat oatmeal with peanut butter every day for breakfast for the extra protein.

Good vibes going out to Moe's mom and Nick's dad.

Special vibes out to ((((Mamma o' Maureen)))) and ((((Nick's Dad))))

Perhaps my resolution for this year should be to learn the dang multi-quote too

Good luck with that. I'm still working on my kid's bathroom remodeling job. Yes, that same one that I took off from work to start on back in October! I did work on it a bunch the last three days. It's starting to get to a point where I can actually see the finish. I'm close to having it down to just needing paint, tile the floor, and wire in a new light. Almost all of the carpentry work is done. I'm not that good of a trim carpenter so that part goes s l o w for me. I am a bit of a perfectionist though....

NO! Where do you think I live? Alabama...er wait uh, nevermind.
Actually, it's on the patio behind the fence. It's not visible from the street, no neighborhood covenents are being broken at my house.

Thoughts and prayers out to Moe's Mom and Nick's dad.

Hi all,
Back to work today but I'm still sick with this cough/sore throat/cold/sinus thing (day 5 now). Wishing I could stay in bed...but since it's only my 4th week on the new job I figure I need to suck it up. Ugh.
Thoughts and prayers to Moe's mom and Nick's dad.
Just dropped DH off at the airport- he's heading to Ohio (couldn't join him Mandaroo)to see his parents, and then to Minneapolis for work, so I'm solo for 9 days- longest time since we moved. At least I'm working now or I'd be out of my mind with boredom!
I've decided to just work on building back my running base over the next few months since 2007 was basically a washed up year for various reasons. So, I'm not doing the half in Surf City, but I'll be there to cheer on Moon, Voo and whoever else. I'm going to pick a couple of goal races for the year and try to focus on those.
Has Doc been around? Duckie- are you heading to Dana Point still in Feb?
