Good morning, all. Woohoo, it's Friday!

There was some weird and wild stuff going on last night. Nice thread...

I've gotten a couple emails already from people picking their teams in the Phantasy Philly thread. Keep those coming in...

Good luck to all the racers this weekend! Hopefully I'll get in to NYC to see some of you. Kick ass!

Okay, I'm late, so I gotta run. Have a great Friday, folks...

Good morning! I've got 10 minutes before I wake up the little people. Until then my coffee is waking me up.

Yes, Solitude, people do read the previous night's thread.

BigG, I was just kidding about the camera abilities. By the way, that shirt fits you perfectly! Glad you like it.

Dropping DD1 off at school then hitting the gym. I can feel that hilly run from yesterday in my legs today.

Mornin' Bob, Scratch.

And Happy Friday all... I think Dom just couldn't wait for Friday last night and started the day a little early...

I'm off today and have plans to go for torture round two with my trainer- tell me this stuff gets easier cause I still hurt from Wed! Then I hope to be able to move enough to do a turbokick class afterward. Maybe some miles later. My legs feel fine. My upper body, sore still.

Not sure if I'm gonna attempt to run some today, we'll see. PT appointment later.

Hope everyone has a fun Friday! Catch ya'll later.

Heyas Bob, Scratch, and all who shall follow.

Looks like there was some rather "colorful" posting last night. No fair editing those posts! Us early birds needs some entertainment, too!!!

Got 2.5 run on the TM last night, with .25 walking warmup & cooldown, for 3.0 total. Not much by normal folks standards, but they were almost east for me.... (I don't recall EVER saying that!) so I'm happy with it.

Slept the best last night that I have in ages, too. Yah!

Rest night tonight, and then I'm back on the 'mill on Saturday and Sunday.

Scratch - Butterfinger, definitely!

Hi Everyone--

Now I have to go back and look at the Thursday night thread for sure to see what kind of trouble Dom is causing. Those hot MN men--they are a rascally bunch, aren't they?

I'm back in town for a few days--Dad is doing well and things went OK, but I'm of course behind in everything else. I will not be in town this weekend, (sorry Freedom 10 miler folks and I'll miss Ms.Mary again). My good athletic-supporter vibes will be with you all. Just imagine me out there holding a big sign and a banana for you.

I have lots of thread to read through so I'll try and do that later, but wanted just to say "hi" and hope all of you are well and your running is well-er.

Sounds like it sure did last weekend for our racers!

(Thanks for keeping me up to speed, Maria).

Scratch--12 miles? You've come a long way, baby!!

Hi folks!

Just had a giant ass deer run through my back yard. Hank is loosing his puppy mind...Don't know why they wind his clock like that...
Working too hard...don't see it slowing down anytime too soon, which really is no biggie.

Haven't caught up on the thread really. My mother in law is being a turd and is grossly misusing a her most recent Bible study to decide that she and i need to address MY problems with her. Sunday should be soooo much fun. Might get a flask. Too bad i can't slip it in my cleavage. Wouldn't THAT give them something to talk about??? heh.

Not caught up with the thread...however did catch honey-do lists talk. Good Lord. I'm supposed to write lists like you're 5 and cut off bumpin uglies, and my partner is supposed to play golf to get away from me??? Clearly, i have been doing this married thing wrong for nearly 10 years.

Hope all is well.
Hi Sara!!!!! Hug Odin!
Semi beautiful, beautiful pup.
KJ We hate JO!!!
Bard My friend D (the one with the boy in the cage) is interested in the jingle run....
Scratch neither. skybars are the best candy bar. you can't get them everywhere though. i can usually get them in little carry-outs in under resourced areas...and oddly enough at the scary little moonville grocery where the fat elvis works....
Craney glad pop is doing well... My dad is going through a series of surgeries and it sucks balls.

Manadroo Must be something in the air...we had 2 deer lazing in our backyard the morning. Odin just stands and looks at them - doesn't make a sound. Squirrels on the other hand - barks his big head off, paces, pants, drools, etc.

Scratch If it's a choice between the two - Skor most times. I'm a big toffee fan.

Crane Glad to hear your pop is doing well. Mandaroo, hope your pop comes through w/ flying colors.

Good luck to all our NYC runners this weekend. Have fun!!!!!

ncrg...We'll be in Canton over Thanksgiving. Will you be around? Maybe we can squeeze in a quick / short / whatever run.

Good morning!

Crappy weather today. Hurricane Noel decided to pay a visit to The Rock and my dreadmill is buried under a pile of stuff in the garage, so it was back to sleep for me. I hope it clears up soon. I'm hoping to get at least a 12-miler in sometime this weekend, like Scratch.

Congrats!!! to Tonya and Happy Anniversary!!! to Katholeenie & Husbandoleenie!

Dom, NICE avatar! Now if we can only figure out how to slow it down...

LSU Tiff, it does get easier...eventually!

Hi Craney! Glad your dad is feeling better.

BigG, nice shirt, and the model looks pretty good, too!

((((Mandy and her Dad))))

Be back later!

Every day - my morning routine is to run, shower\etc., get in the office, check emails and take care of the minor stuff that needs to be taken care of, then read the current day's thread while eating breakfast. I then take care more work stuff and try and catch up on the previous night's thread. Apparently I missed some good stuff.

Crane and sdp - thanks for stopping by. Sometimes life gets in the way of things, but that's OK. Always nice to see you here.

Olympic Trials - weather should be interesting. New York will be on the outer fringes of Hurricane Noel. Rain showers and 20 mph winds. The weather for the NYC Marathon on Sunday should be close to ideal - almost anti-Chicago weather, low 40's to start, clear, light winds.

Running - 5.5 in 52:30, in chilly but nice conditions.

Hello and goodbye. I'm off for the weekend to my parents' house to meet up with a high school friend who I haven't seen in a good 10 years. Have a good weekend everyone, and good luck racers!

I went with the Butterfinger since I had a Skor on Wednesday.

I've never heard of Skybars, Roo, and I'm not sure if I want to go chasing after a confection with such environment. But then, if you happen to find Zero Bars in proximity to Sky Bars, let me know and I can probably be convinced of their goodness. Zero Bars, mmmmm, long long long time. It might be over 25 years since I last had one out of the vending machine which was my only source of them so long ago.

Yeah, tomorrow is my last big long run before Philly. It seems amazing at times at how much more I can do runningwise than when I stepped out on that track on the 21st of April. It's absolutely weird or feels weird that I ran 7.5 miles Tuesday and 6.25 yesterday. Run up over an hour? No sweat, or at least a lot less sweat now that the weather is more fall like. I wasn't too happy about some of those sweaty runs in the first half of October.

I'm rambling a bit. Need to start doing some actual stuff.
