Good morning, 30s. Whew, it's finally Friday!

Yeah, it's pretty amazing that the Phillies got themselves into a tie for first. This has been a historic collapse by the Mets. But the Phils still have to finish it off. Three more games...

I hope I feel better today than yesterday. We'll see if I make it thru the day...

Have a good Friday, everyone...

i have no idea what Scratch is talking about. i am drinking what is possibly the worst cup of coffee i've ever made. people who haven't had coffee shouldn't make it....

i am exhausted. really. but chapter 4 is almost ready. should be able to send it to Dave (no not GoV) Sat.

Talked with a kid's dad about Survivor man last night. heh.

Craney can come have snacks with me anytime.
I'll teach you the Reese's song. Not quite as good as the Survivor Man song, but better than the picking up dog doo song.
We'll put on our Chucks, eat reeses and sing on my back deck. yay.

Tonya. Yay for you!!! I love short hair too! I don't have it... but my mom has almost always worn some kind of edgy short hair. Did the anita baker flat top back in the day, the short halle berry deal a few years ago. If I looked a little more like my mom, (she's wicked pretty) I'd do it too.

More hugs to ((((((((((Lori))))))))))) today from Hank and I.

Thiea how is Miss Shaggy?

Moon how's your toe?

Sage how you doing?

Lori, you are so in my thoughts today! Big hugs to you!

Woke up early to enjoy my coffee in peace before my crazy day starts. I'll be heading to the gym this morning, first time in 2 weeks. I've been so lazy!

Good morning!

I'm so glad it's Friday, I'm exhausted. I'm hoping to get a major project off my desk today at work, but I think I'll be able to pop in and out a little more today since I only have a few students and no meetings. Most of my time will be on the computer.

Moe- good luck with the interview!

Mandy- you may not look like your mom, but you are wicked pretty in your own right.

Duck- will Kirk Herbstreit be there? I can't remember if he is still doing the Game Day stuff now that he is actually calling games. He was QB at OSU my soph year here, and I can remember his start on local sports radio.

QOD- For some reason, last night I had a memory pop into my head. It was about Voodoo finding that little bird (it was a bird, right?) and trying to nurse it back to health. Made me smile. What are your favorite memories from this group? My other one is meeting everyone in Cincinnati for the Flying Pig.

Good luck, Moe! and, I noticed this idea about the novel, too, and forgot to ask the same question. Do tell, Mary!

Kids are walking in -- be back later to answer the QOD. Happy Friday!!!

It's baseball. The regular season ends Sunday. The Phillies have not been in first place since The first week of the season. The Mets have been in first place alone since May 16th. Two weeks ago, the Mets had a 7.5 game lead over the Phillies. As of 9:42 last night, they are tied. The Phillies are playing well, and the Mets are losing in mind boggling ways

If the Mets do not make the playoffs, it will be the biggest choke job in the history of major league baseball.

I have been a Mets fan since birth (my parents plopped me in front of the TV for the 1969 World Series. This last month has been miserable. I am literally losing sleep over this. This morning, I bagged my run after 1 M because I am so out of sorts.

I know, it is just baseball, and to get so worked up about it is stupid.

(Note: my Mr. Met avatar has gone from praying to crying\holding his head in shame)

Moe - best of luck today.

Doc - are you out there?? How was the scan??

Great QOD Kris!
Hmmm.... If we're talking about meet ups....Meeting Kris was the first time I ever met an internet friend (this group is my first internet friends and if you told me i would have internet friends 3 years ago, I would have likely laughed until i snorted... so all that was a big deal). I very much enjoyed my lunch with Moon (he is just as nice as you think he'll be) and cooking out with Space and a very soggy but great sport about it Voo was a highlight of my summer. It would be a VIOLATION not to mention my WV trip with Just Jen and Space or memorial day weekend....
If I didn't have DOC .... my days would be long and boring as he never fails to make me laugh (he was the first person in the group I gave my # to btw....Kris was so damn nice see....)

As far as on this thread stuff.... i dunno. too much. padoobies is right up there. i can't even think that without grinning....
yeah. i told you. i'm 8.

Mornin' all!

Rainy day. I got a ton of things to do to get ready for our trip to Halifax later. Make cookies, pack, drop Ellie at the kennel. Can't wait for the relay tomorrow! I'm doing the final leg, 10.6k. It's rated a 4 out of 5, I think because of some hills. I laugh in the face of hills.

The Office had some classic lines last night! Loved it!

Good luck Maureen!

And hugs to Lori!

Hey kiddos. Well, it is a done deal now. My DH and I went to say good bye to Princess last night. She was out of it when we got there but she was snoring (always makes me laugh to hear doggie snores). It was way more peaceful than I anticipated, which is good. I think my BIL almost lost it too, must be the worst part of his job, made even harder by my blubbering!!! One thing did make me smile. BIL told me her bloodwork was perfect. A 14 yo diabetic dog with no other issues, amazing! He told me I must have done a fabulous job taking care of her the last few years. Best thing he could have said!!!

I want to thank you all for your kindness on and off the board. I honestly thought of you all last night and it gave me a little extra boost of strength. You are amazing people!

In other news, I am beyond suprised and thrilled the Phils are tied for first. And LH's new Mr. Met made me giggle!!!

I am thinking good thoughts for Moe right now. And will be tonight to when she sees her costume work on stage for the first time!!!

Anyone racing this weekend? Good luck to you!!!

QOD: Oh geesh, I could take a whole page answering this. But one of my favs has to be after the Indy HM, went to eat with Moe and Voo. I decided to run into a little brew pub to buy a shirt for DH, said I would meet those 2 back at the hotel. The hotel is on the same street as the place we ate so they only needed to walk straight. I am walking back about 10 mins after them. I see them coming from a side street. I stop to wait for them, and notice there is a big yellow H2 on some display and they are looking at it. I ask what they heck they were doing, did they get lost. Voo replies "No, we went around the corner for the hummer". It took about a min for them both to turn red, I loved it!!!

I have a million other great memories, most of them just when someone new posts and getting to know about them!

Oh another one is when I met Solar, mainly because she came out to a race she didn't intend to run (but did anyway) just to say hi and good luck to me!!!

Seriously I could go on and on (you all know that by now).

Ok, great weekends to you all!!!

Yeah, I corrected that. I think my brain was still recovering from getting poached on my late afternoon run yesterday. Can't even begin to describe how much I hope that was the last hot weather run of the year.

At least it's cooling off and drying out today and the weather should be good for tomorrow when I have to do my longest run yet.

Morning, kids--

Well, this morning has been fun so far. I ran 4.31 miles in 55:58. I was only supposed to run for 54 minutes but I got confused and thought I was supposed to run for 56. By the time I realized I was wrong, I was into the 55th minute and ran to the next light. My stomach feels a little yucky, and I'm sweating out every drop of water I have in me, but I RAN MORE THAN 4 MILES!

Today's a busy day ending with a drive to Columbus this evening.

I'm sure I'll stop by later to check in.

Happy Birthday, Ailarie!

The '64 Phils had a larger lead, but no team that has lead their division by 7.5 games on Sept 12th has ever failed to win their division.

Both categories suck.

Still formulating my QOD.
