Tomorrow it will be exactly three years since I got off the couch. My running log says that on that day I spent 75 minutes XC skiing and then the next day I ran 1.5mi on the TM. I lost 13lbs that month, 5lbs the first week, 4lbs the second, 3lbs the third and 1lb the fourth. I haven't stopped since (though I gained back about 20 of the 49lbs overall I lost).

What will year #4 hold? I can't imagine my life without exercise now.

Well done. I've only been at it since last October (when I decided a trip to Philly wouldn't be the same without a run). I put on my running shoes and did the 8km in Philly and have done two more races since. Have lost 10 lbs overall and can't tell you how great I feel. I'm hoping to run the half in Philly this year and have lost another 7 lbs by then. Contrats again.

Enjoy the Murphy's Hobey - does it travel will from Cork?

Thanks everyone.

I think a big part of what's kept me going and allowed me to take things to the level is the support, advice and inspiration I've gotten here.

I don't know about an IM but there is a particular HIM I'd like to do someday...

I also just found out that I am doing the Belfast, Northern Ireland marathon relay again this year. That's very exciting!!

It's still better in Ireland but with the widget cans, it's not so bad.
