Sounds like a fun day of fitness! Good work!

We had a short fitness thread yesterday. Nobody has anything to talk about?

Day off for me yesterday. I'll do something tonight. Can't be too much, I guess, with a marathon 4 days away...

Little miss evil + 2 miles on the indoor track for me and J. I love getting the workouts done in the morning, but I'd like it even more if I could figure out a way to get a nap in at least some of the days!

Morning gang -

Nice workouts so far today, ladies.

boB - you packed yet? I've been laying stuff out and going through my options. Looks like race day will be shorts, tank and maybe arm warmers.

Was going to run a bit, but something is funky with my shin so I'll do some biking instead.

Good runs to all today!

Hey all! I ran just over 9 yesterday and was dragging. After my run I just felt spent and took an hour and a half nap (yay!). My paces have been super slow the last 7-10 days and it has been very frustrating. Fortunately, today I was able to run a regular pace and all systems felt good (aside from the fact that it was wicked windy and cold). Whew. It seems I am on the upswing from the creeping crud I had.

Need to do arm weights and head off to work.

Happy hump day.

What's the weather looking like for Little Rock this weekend? I am excited for you, Cindi and BoB. Hope it is a great weekend in Arkansas.

Still too early to be reliable, IMHO. But, it looks perfect. 38/55, partly sunny. However, Saturday says breezy and rain, so if that system slows down it could suck.

I'm not packed yet, but I'm thinking about it. I'll probably overpack, like I usually do. The temps'll be right around the tipping point where I might want colder weather gear or warmer weather gear. So I'll bring it all, and then just choose on race morning. I'll probably go with shorts, short-sleeve shirt, and throwaway gloves, but I'll bring more just to be safe...

My flight out of Newark is rediculously early on Saturday (6:30am), so I gotta make sure I'm fully packed before I got to bed on Friday. As it is, I'll be getting up at like 4:00am, and I'd hate to have to spend any time packing that morning.

Even though I'm not gonna bust my ass in the race, I'm still looking forward to it. It's been less than 3 months since my last marathon, but it feels like a long time. I'm also looking forward to partaking in some Memphis BBQ on Monday before my flight home.

I'm excited for RFTL and Bob!!!

My speedwork went better than expected yesterday. I went into it with a pace in mind, and only planned on 4x400 with 1 min rest and a few easy miles before and after. I didn't look at my watch during the intervals, and it turns out I smashed the pace I planned on doing -- which I didn't expect -- and my calf isn't trashed today. I ended up with a little over 6 miles total.

Today will be 8 easy-ish, on the hilly part of town.

Too busy at home and work to get excited yet, I'll probably save that for early April! Heck, it might even take seeing Moe's wonderful smile in person to really get me excited about the race.

I guess I'd say that I'm feeling bolstered by getting these last few 13 - 15 mile runs in without incident. It's still a crap shoot though, so I'll feel even better when I see the 18 - 20 mile runs happen without my leg falling off.

I am getting excited for the Jen v. Rochey showdown. It would be fantastic if the two of them both break 3:00 for the first time at Boston.

My running gear is in my bag, hoping for a nice lunch run in the park today.

Gah. I just noticed in my running log that my February total was 166.6. Wish I would have noticed that earlier, I would have run an extra .1

Great to see you here, Missy!

8 crisp miles done later this afternoon. Ran with my sister while the kids were at art class. Good run! Lots of stuff to talk about today, so we clicked off the hills and miles almost effortlessly.

Yeah, the only thing better than seeing Missy back is seeing happy and rested Missy back!

5 miles in the park. Got caught in a downpour, but it didn't turn to hail so I'm glad for that.

Nice running from lots of folks today! Good job, guys! The thread has been rather short, so there aren't enough people participating though!

I did a half hour of speedy-ish stuff on the TM. Last run of any difficultly before the weekend. I'm starting to get packed, and I shouldn't have any problems from here out (knock on wood).
