<p>Well, not so fun - just got back from my run. At the end of my street I saw what I thought might be a deer. Nope - BIG loose dog. Didn't recognize the shape, and when I got closer I've never seen the dog before. Stood still, waited for it to get far enough away that it wouldn't want to chase me, and continued on.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Got back from my run and took the dogs out. It's still super dark here, so I was keeping an eye peeled for the dog. We were in front of my neighbor's house when I saw it trotting down the cross street towards us. <br>
 </p>
<p>FUCK. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>So I turn the boys around and get back inside the house fast. Sure enough, as soon as I get the door shut I see the dog in our back yard, circling around.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Still can't see it well enough to get a good description. It's shape sort of like a rottweiller, but it has a screw tail. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>I just called the dog warden, but can't even leave a message that they should come look out.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Meanwhile, my dogs NEED to poop, but I'm not taking them back out while it's dark and that dog is still lurking around.</p>

<p>I have had a few loose dog incidents lately and it IS frustrating.  A couple days ago a nasty dog came at me with his Cujo voice and I had to stop and wait for his owner to come grab him before he bit me.  Problem was, owner never came, so there I am standing in the street with this dog freaking out at me.  I slowly started walking away and then was finally able to run, but it was BS.  Sorry to hear it.  Hope you got the boys out this am.</p>

<p>Not fun: I didn't sleep well yesterday.  The hearing was a little crazy (well, not really, but seeing the guy after 20 years was crazy) and I dreamt about crazy stuff all night and woke up multiple times.  TGIF!!</p>

<p>NOT FUN:  Penny snagged a spool of thread I'd set on the couch when I was doing some last minute alterations this morning...and probably swallowed the sewing needle.  *sigh*  I called the vet and they told me most likely it'll pass, to give her bulky foods like bread, and to monitor her poop.  Of course, she's going back to D Ex-H today so he'll have to...but I'm hopeful she'll be fine.</p>

<p><strong>Katholeenie</strong> I love dogs but hate those unleashed wild ones in neighborhoods.  When I moved here two years ago I thought I might try running our hilly neighborhood for a challenge.  Well of course I get to the furthest point from my house and I hear barking.  There is this rough looking unleashed dog in some guys yard.  It is looking at me like I am breakfast.  I stop the run and calmly walk past it without giving it any attention.  I cut the run short right then and headed home.  That right there broke me from running in my neighborhood.  So irritating.</p>

<p>Excellent!   Today, or rather this evening starting at 6, Jason has a room reserved at the Village Pourhouse 46th St location (betw 8th/9th, closer to 9th) - stop by if you're in the area!  It's upstairs and will have food and drinks.   Tomorrow is wide open but will undoubtedly involved b-ball watching, a firmer plan for then will shape up later today.   Any ideas as to where you'll be? </p>
