Well, I didn't get to watch any of the BC/Montreal game, but looking at the CBC power ratings the east certainly seems to be taking it to the west in the opening of the season. I hope Wally can tighten things up for the Lions in short order.

I am worried about Edmonton. I have been since they got Tillman, but now I am more worried than I was. I am not worrieda bout our 0-2 record, we need to find our groove, we've had lots of changes this year.

Sigh...

Go Riders.

But in happier news I have a plan to actually see the Riders play in Montreal next year.

If you can't take Hamilton, then the real basement team will be decided when we play you guys.

There is a cloud over Riderville these days. Good luck with Hamilton as they are coming off a great win against us.

Sorry Leo's but for this week at least, I am glad we are not in the basement.

Huh, so here we are. BC stunk up the place for how many weeks? Six? Then they win all but one in the final 2/3'rds of the season to take the West and get the by into the Western Final. The way we handled the Al's I'm feeling pretty good if we meet them in the Grey Cup. Wow, what a turn around for the Riders. Sorry WR4C - maybe next year.

There's always next year!

The good news is from here on out, I'll cheer for BC, if they get to host and get to go, it will be good for CFL football all around. A Edmonton/Montreal final in BC just isn't exciting.

The CFL is amazing. A team can go from the doghouse to the penthouse or vice-versa over a summer. Who would have thought Edmonton was a serious contender back at the start of the season.

I think Cavillo's career is over after this season unless they can give him top notch protection I remember when he broke into the league during the US expansion experiment. I always considered Warren Moon the gold standard of CFL QB's, but I think Cavillo will probably overtake him in my mind (even though I still have a soft spot for little Ronnie Lancaster).

LOL, see post # 5, I thought Edmonton was a serious contender back at the beginning of the season. I'm not sure that they can maintain their momentum though. I'm worried BC can't either. I think Calgary is going to be the Western Champ. I don't know about the East. I always have a soft spot for the ti-cats though.

How do they figure out who is first in the west, when it was a 3 way tie? Points against?

I have no idea how they figure out the standings when there is a three way tie. Even on a good day this sport is a crap shoot. I wouldn't second guess anyone taking the West at this point. I guess since the Bombers became an eastern team (and the fact they were my Dad's team) means they're my eastern soft spot. I wish the eastern Riders still existed - they were my favorite truely eastern team.

There was some serious talk about Ottawa getting a team again, but it would be very unlikely the will be Roughriders again. I am fully rooting for BC and Hamilton now. So glad that the Montreal dynasty was stopped short this year.

I am so excited. It's like Christmas weekend and my team isn't even in it. I so badly want to go see a Grey Cup it is insane. I will probably have TSN on non-stop for the next two days.
