I'm convinced it's b/c I'm undertrained. Crap. I didn't sleep when I was overtrained.

I'm just giving sheldon a hard time. It makes him feel warm and special.

Actually...I watched project runway...got 2 hours of sleep...then woke up with visions of teaching people to swim by "wrapping their arm around a keg"

I need a new hobby.

I got out of bed after laying awake for HOURS at 4AM. Gotta swim.

Today I'm back at the old gym...1 week left...oy! Yards today...I'll feel speedy again...if I don't fall asleep in the pool!

2hours sleep is bad.

are you sure it's not because of your training? Something is causing it and too much training is common on.

you dont sleep, you don't recover. you don't recover, you don't get faster.

I didn't sleep either last night. The night before it was because the baby kept crying last night she was silent and I still couldnt' freaking sleep.

I was talking to a nurse yesterday at work and she was telling me that peoples sleep patters change once they hit 30. I thought she was fooling with me but then I thought about this last year and she may be on to something.

Oh yes....mine have changed.

I think partly due to age, partly due to being consistently out of bed to workout. I still like a good nap in the afternoon and all, but I no longer have such a hard time getting out of bed in the mornings. What I've mostly noticed is that I have a harder time staying up late than I used to.

That and hormones are the two culprits for me when I can't sleep. No real good advice to offer - but if there is a way to calm your mind - write things down before you go to bed - or sleep in a different room (sometimes it helps to change it up), or take a sleepy pill for a night or two just to get back on track.

Good luck - I know how that feels, and it stinks big time.

I'm on birth control...so it ain't women hormones...

Ron...men sleep after sex. Women (me atleast) get up and shower or get on with my day. Or whatever. I rarely roll over and get zoinked out.

When I was super obese I couldn't do it enough times a day. I was one fat hornball.

Then I lost weight. Lost interest. I think when he bypassed my intestines he bypassed my libido.

Sheldon has to schedule Mr. Tithers time in my workout log...or else I'd forget.

I can tell when it's been too long...Mr. T gets cranky. And CRANKY. If he's not on his man period...then he's "in need."

Now THAT is a side effect that they need to list on the jar when they hand out the surgery. That's a bummer. Natural function for all and very important for a happy DH too. Glad to see it's being taken care of, maybe see the girl Dr about it and see if there is anything else because if there is no interest, then there may be something else wrong that you didn't realize, from the surgery. Maybe it's simple dietary (you said you have all sorts of issues with absorption? Maybe the horndog vitamen isnt' being absorbed, etc) and maybe it's physical. I'd have to bet it is nutritional, not that I'm a Dr I just play one on the internet

It only gets worse after kids, so I'm glad to hear you have scheduled time, it will go a long time towards DH understanding your extra-cirrucular persuits such as, oh, I dunno... 2 IM in 1 year

p.s. Hope CS didn't scheduled DH time after a 6 hour ride. HOUR. Or get the math wrong and schedule 6 hours DH time w/ 15 min on the bike

I amuse myself so much.. good thing too, cheap entertainment!

No...the girl dr knows...she said lots of women say that...and that there's nothing out there.

My vitamins are good. I get my bloodwork done.

Estrogen is stored in fat...I lost a lot of fat...I still have fat...I also lost my weight in 9 months, so I don't know if that's the main culprit. it's a good theory though.

Oh...I slept like a baby last night.

I even had a dream that we adults were playing cops and robbers or cowboys and indians or something. I always have odd dreams.

Since you got a good night of sleep after the bad night....things are likely just a bit wacky for that one night.
It's when it gets to be happening night after night after night that you would want to start looking in to it.
