<p>I have to admit I am kind of cranky this morning.  After relatively nice weather last week, it is cold and icy and snowy again here.  Come on Spring!  <a href="mailto:D@mmit">[email protected]</a>.</p>

<p>That's all I've got for now, but I have to think there is some fun on the horizon.</p>

<p>People here (myself included) are a bit worn down with the union fights / governor / protests.  No matter what side you are on, there is noticeable general crankiness going on.  That's not fun and it is all getting very old, yet still going nowhere fast.</p>

<p>Nothing yet Joe!  I'm a tad bit on edge and whacked out on cold drugs.  Why do cold drugs have the opposite affect on me than everyone else.  The back of the box says "may cause drowsyness"  and I'm wired all night and can't sleep.  Now I'm running on fumes and would like to go over to the other building and take a nap in the napping room. </p>

<p>Hi- been a bit MIA...my stepdad has been in the hospital over a week now with some funky infection in his leg and constant hiccups and I've just been dealing with lots of other crap here. But...my brother is on his way here from Kansas and getting in later this afternoon so that's fun! Hopefully the weather will cooperate- we're supposed to get rain. Boo!</p>
<p><strong>Maureen-</strong> have a good vacation! This is your cruise, right? <strong>Maria</strong>- have fun in Mexico! Seems your friends are always getting married there! </p>

<p>Just blasting in to let you know the natives are getting restless around here.  Apparently our building management is starting to lock down b/c protests are expected here <a href="http://host.madison.com/ct/news/local/govt-and-politics/article_7e8aa25a-3ec0-11e0-9923-001cc4c03286.html" target="_blank">since the Koch brothers recently opened an office in the building</a>.  Oh joy - the excitement never ends.</p>

<p>Work today: I got to see how the liquid laminator works, and catch boards as they come out (it’s a huge machine with a conveyer belt. You put whatever on the belt at the front of the machine and it goes under some rollers that apply a thin coat of varnish or whatever you want onto your work, and then it goes under some uv lights which cure the varnish, and then it drops off the conveyer belt at the other end. It’s probably 15ft from front to back.) Anyway, I was at the back end catching 3/8’’ thick, 3ftx3ft boards as they came off. Probably not the best thing for my back – they’re kind of heavy to lift 2 at a time, but Sarah was putting them side by side and I had to grab them off and stand them up in a box before the next pair came down the line – but it was fun. Picture Lucille Ball working in the factory and the chocolates flying everywhere? Like that, except I didn’t get behind. Heh.</p>

<p>The guys couldn't believe I volunteered to do it. <img alt="dontknow.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/dontknow.gif"> It was only 1/2 hour, Sarah needed help, and I wanted to see how it works. <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif"></p>
