<p>People here (myself included) are a bit worn down with the union fights / governor / protests. No matter what side you are on, there is noticeable general crankiness going on. That's not fun and it is all getting very old, yet still going nowhere fast. </p>

<p>I wonder if it's any coincidence that this is happening around the same time as all the troubles in the Middle East. I mean, are people seeing all the unrest in Tunisia and Egypt and Yemen and Libya (etc) and thinking, "Gee, I want to go out and protest something"? Maybe there's some element to that, but in some sense, they're protesting the opposite thing. The people in the Middle East are protesting against the power of government, but here in the U.S. people are protesting against CUTS in government power. So maybe the people in Libya and the people in Wisconsin should trade places for a week or two. <span><img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="width:16px;height:16px;"></span></p>
