I've been up since 6:30. Also too early.

I never answered the QOY: I just hope to make it standing up, not exhausted and done with costume design. And running 2 times a week amid all the rehearsals. That would be enough.
I slept in a bit this morning. Didn't get up until 7:30. Maggie was up, so she took care of Jillian. It feels good to sleep in every now and then. Especially since I really needed it. I'd been feeling a little run down lately. I feel much better after this good night's sleep..

Have a great weekend, everyone!
Morning Gang -

Sounds like the day to sleep in! I slept in til 7:30, which is 3 hours later than my normal time. When I do that I feel icky though - it gives me a headache.

DH leaves for Vegas early tomorrow a.m. and, of course, DS is now saying he feels like he's gonna puke. Nice timing. So, I'm gonna sneak out for my run now and let DH deal with the puke today.

LL - what's for dessert?
I got nuthin'.

Throwing pots and hopefully finishing another sweater today. And brushing the beastie out and other assorted chores. boring.

Oh. Anyone here ever make hard candy? Since I can't do cough drops I thought I might try altering a hard candy recipe (to use honey instead of sugar and corn syrup) and use that instead, since it's SO freaking dry here. I think that's part of why I'm still having issues.

So that's another project for this weekend.
Had fun last night at the Beatles band show. Saw a few old friends from back in the day (I've been going to see this group for about 13 years now!) and even got my boogie on. Met some guys from AL in town for a football coaching convention or something. They were trying to convince me to drive them downtown to a cool bar. The main guy kept saying "I'm not trying to hit on you!" And so I said "I know! Of course not! You're married!" pointing to his ring. Uh, yeah. I felt bad for his wife being married to such a pig. He's probably got kids at home, too. Of course, I told them (before that part happened) that I'd be in AL next weekend and impressively he figured out it was for the Mercedes HM, telling me his buddy's wife is running it too....

Anywho, today's the big haircut day! Gotta fit in 7 miles before that, though (not gonna get my hair did and then mess it up with running! ) since I'd like it to look nice for the martini bar I'm going to with some friends tonight. BTW, Good luck to my haircut buddy Jen today! Pics to come later.....

LL Love the soup nazi! Best episode ever!! Have fun with the gourmet club. Just curious- how did you start that up? I think that would be a fun thing to do with some of my friends. Do you all decide on a theme/ingredient (like iron chef?) and then just create a menu from there and meet up once/month?

Ok, gonna slowly finish my coffee and start getting ready for my run! I think I can.. I think I can.. I think I can..
The host couple picks the theme and the menu. They are in charge of finding all the recipes and assigning who has to make what. In turn for hosting they don't make anything - just provide the beverages.

We have six couples in the group. We've had Italian Night, Tapas, Fall Themed, Irish, German, Wine Dinner, Asian and others.

We have been meeting once every 2-3 months or so.
morning everyone. mmmmm..bananas foster. I make a healthy version with low fat maple syrup and warmed up cottage cheese (drool). I want to party with LL!!

So, DH totally freaked me out last night. We went running and then to Noodles & Co. I commented that I was happy that my headache finally went away. I then mentioned that my stomach started to hurt at about 330. I described it as a intermittent sharp pain. I pointed to my left side about even with my belly button. DH says "ok...well, we are going to the ER tonight, you need to have your appendix out" Wah?? It doesn't hurt that bad! So, I got all freaked out, came home, showered and then went on Webmd to do some research. Meanwhile I am freaking out! I start reading the symptoms to him and say "babe, it says here that the pain is on the right side". "yeah, I think I would know Brandy, I have the scar to prove it". "dude, I pointed to my LEFT". "oh, yeah, you were sitting ACROSS the table from me weren't you?" silly goose

Ok..no pics of my hair yet but I realized that it is similar to this. I.did.not.intend.this

Heh. Well, I can assure you that I am already real. And I've met Beth, so I know she's real too. I can't say for sure about anyone else yet, though...
What is King Cake? And a double helping of Bananas Foster puh-lease! mmmmmm

Too funny - Jill, Beth and I are ALL getting our haircut at 2:00-ish today. I'm at 2:15 CST Don't forget the before and after pics!

Gawd, that totally sounds like my cup of tea. I wonder if I could start up something like that here.

You may have all already seen this but I just did and thought it was hilarious, I think even if you're not a Sarah Silverman fan, it is funny.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnVJZkDuVBM (aha I see this is also posted in PRT)
Of course, now I have that song stuck in my head. So be warned! Ear worm alert!
