<p><strong>FUN</strong> I cashed in some random rewards points this morning and I got a year of Traditional Home for free ( I love the mag because it amazes me what people think looks good)  and THEN I scored a year of Better Homes and Gardens for $5! </p>

<p>The metro Atlanta area got some snow overnight.  Maybe 1.5 inches or so.  Luckily, the temps/roads were warm enough that driving is mostly safe with no ice issues. The drive in was Beeee-a-UTIFUL this morning  Certainly better that last month's ice-mageddon. </p>

<p>So, Tuesday night I got a call at 10pm from a coworker who had a data issue she couldn't fix.  I ended up being up until 3:38am helping her.  I got a few hours sleep before I had to get the kids up for school, went back to bed for an hour, then went to 6 straight hours of meetings.   I wanted to poke my eyes out.   Then I fell on the stupid ice at day care.   So glad this week is almost over.  I need to hit the reset button in the worst way.</p>

<p>Not fun:  frozen locks on my car this morning.  I am so over this winter.  We have not had the snow amounts that other places have had, but our temps have been well below average since December.</p>

<p>Fun:  the sky was blue this morning and the sun was legitimately up as I was driving in to work.  The days are getting longer, yay!</p>

<p>The ice rink where my son plays hockey had a partial roof collapse.  So even though he is not on a travel team, we need to travel for his practices and scrimmages now. <br>

<p>Morning all!  We have a job candidate in town today and tomorrow, and I get to take him to lunch today with a colleague.  I love free food at nice restaurants!  I also get to take next week's candidate to dinner at probably an even nicer restaurant!</p>

<p>That's about all the fun I've got.  Oh, I watched The Social Network last night and really kind of liked it.  I'm not sure I think it's the best picture of 2010, but it was still very enjoyable.</p>

<p>My computer is telling me that it's -6*, but my weather station stays it's 1*.  I'm choosing to believe my weather station.  Still, this means I don't get to wear my nice coat because it's not warm enough.  At least it didn't snow anymore.</p>

<p>Not fun: the work server is wonky.  Got access to local (i.e. on my hard drive) stuff, but no access to stuff (which is almost everything) on the network drives...thankfully, Internet is still up and running (as you can tell by my posting.)</p>

<p>Also got a visit to the doc for my annual physical this afternoon - I guess by definition that can't be fun either heh</p>

<p>Today in Nova Scotia, we'll try to beat the world record for the number of snow angels made at the same time.  We're aiming for 16 000.  It all starts at 1 PM today.  Fun!</p>

<p>I did a radio interview this morning for the kick off of our Winter Festival.  It went pretty good.  Did I tell you I'm the snowman mascot for this thing?  hee hee!  I brought the costume in to get cleaned yesterday.  My first appearance will be at an outdoor skating party on saturday.</p>

<p>I've started knitting another scarf for a craft sale that's coming up next weekend.</p>
