<p>Nope!  Not me!  Son1 was surfing and found this race that's in a couple weeks.  It's a 50mile loop and a 7mi loop.  Barring an crazy weather, I'm assuming he's going to hold about 18mph.  He's thinking at least 150mi, esp if he can get in with a group.</p>

<p>They do have some Hammer products available but I suggested he not count on that.  Suggestions on what to carry with him?  Should he plan on stopping and picking stuff up at the van?  I will not be supporting him until later, as I plan to ride also (100mi TOUR!).</p>

<p>How should he plan on riding this?  Plan on three long loops, then start on the short?  Or two long, then short until he gets dizzy?</p>

<p>for a typical sort of endurance event in moderate weather, he would drink both bike bottles and one in his jersey pocket after about 2.5 to 3 hours, so would need to have about 3 handups or stops to refuel.  He should have some solid food plus gu and similar sugary things.  I'd have some sandwiches and such.  He may need some additional supplies like chamios creme and foot blister treatments.</p>
