Okay, here were my goals for 2010. I had broken these into primary and secondary goals:

Primary goals:
1) Stay healthy and injury-free.

Well, not quite. The epilepsy thing wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been, I suppose. But it did add a whole new health angle to my life that I wasn't expecting. Thankfully, I wasn't injured at all in 2010...

2) Run at least 5 marathons. Preferably in 5 new states.

Again, not quite. I did 4 in 4 new states (Oregon, Indiana, Minnesota and North Carolina). I skipped two others -- Phoenix AZ in January when my dad had his heart surgery, and Little Rock AR in March before I got the epilepsy straightened out.

Secondary goals:
1) A new marathon PR.

I actually was able to do this one. I got a shiny new 3 minute PR in Minnesota in October.

2) 1800 total miles.

I thought this would be a stretch, and it was. The drama in my life back at the beginning of the year pretty much killed any chance of this before it began. But as I've said, I did pass 1600 again, and am only 2 miles short of a new mileage PR with 3 days left in the year. I'll take it.

3) Lose a little weight.

Umm, no. In fact, I've put on a few pounds since Thanksgiving. Oops. After this holiday season, I gotta stop eating so damn much...

I'm surprised I didn't include the New Haven 20k on my list of goals. I've now done it 7 straight years, and I want to keep streaking there. If I had listed that as a goal, that would have been accomplished. So I didn't hit everything, but I think I did reasonably well on those goals, given all the circumstances...
