<p>Just walked Gus a few miles. On my way home I slipped on some ice in front of my neighbors and torque'd my back and pulled a groin muscle. <img alt="huh.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/huh.gif"></p>

<p>My run around town yesterday with all the snow on the streets was fun.  But if I run today, it'll be on the TM.  I still need 4.3 miles to match last year's total.  I don't think I'll get it all today, but I have no worries about getting there by Friday...</p>

<p>Yesterday was supposed to be a powerflex night, but I've having some knee/leg issues and I really didn't feel like the weights was where I needed to be.  Today is supposed to be an off, but I'll throw down on some rehab type stuffs.</p>

<p>I just looked at my running log - I have 3.4 miles until I reach 10,000 miles (since I started logging them anyway)!!</p>

<p>Got in 5.7 last night before lifting.  I will be sore later today.  Weather is decent out but the trails are a bit slippery so I am running inside on a track tonight to do a little speed work. Pups is in daycare :)</p>

<p>Kath - rest up and get better.  My back is just starting to get back to normal. </p>

<p><span>I was in the cities for the first time in over a month, <strong>Brandy</strong>, and I couldn't believe how sucky the road conditions were.   Makes running hard for you city people.  Very thankful I don't have to deal with that and can still run outside!</span>  What's your next race?  Are you doing the Securian HM (or I see they added a 10k this year)?</p>

<p>I got 10 miles done with 5 at tempo pace.  Was super pleased with it - ended up on the low end of the pace range I was aiming for.</p>

<p>I was scheduled to run 30 minutes today, but I woke up sore.  I walked for an hour on the treadmill instead.  Nothing too exciting, but better than nothing.</p>

<p>Ugh, not good at all <img alt="cry.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/cry.gif">.  I'm in an insane amount of pain.  I heard this can happen the first few days if the nerve gets really irritated but I figured I'd be totally fine.  I don't know if I'll be able to run today, I can't even bend over to put on my shoes but maybe I'll feel better later!  To top it all off, I got my blood work back (I had it pulled to check out iron and stuff before the massive insurance deductible resets for the year) and my iron numbers are in the gutter.  I'm falling apart, this whole getting old stuff stinks!</p>

<p><strong>2oh</strong> - hang in there!  Btw - you wouldn't recognize LBI right now.  Crazy snow there.</p>

<p>Speaking of which, I put a bunch of pix on my blog (link below) and facebook.  The amount of snow that coastal NJ got was insane.  I don't even know totals -- it's too hard to measure -- but the news reported just north of our island got 30".  I wouldn't doubt if LBI's total was there.  The winds/drifts made it ridiculous.</p>

<p>I finally got us dug out yesterday afternoon and felt ok to head home.  Mom's car is dug out, so if they needed to go somewhere, they could (though the roads aren't good).  My back is killing me, but it didn't stop me from getting a slippery, slow, 4 miler done this morning.  Not as much snow here, but there's no where to run yet.  grr. </p>

<p>Hi all - just came back from my ART session; my neck and left back/shoulder got all tweaked over the Christmas holidays, so that made for a nice pain-filled session</p>

<p>I'll probably be out and about tonight, so I'm vowing to do something fitness-related tomorrow</p>

<p>I got on the TM for 4 miles of brisk, uphill walking last night.  I'm going to try for 5 or 6 miles of jogging tonight if this cold doesn't jump all over me by then.</p>
