<p>Back at work today.  Yesterday I did some after Christmas sale shopping and got 2 pair of jeans and a sweater for $50 that's pretty impressive for me!  I may even go back and get a couple more sweaters!</p>

<p>I am seething about having to come into work today.  There is NO F'ING REASON for the research group to have to be in this week, but yet, here we are, at work, while the entire f'ing university is closed.</p>

<p>(Yes, we have work to do but only because people knew we were being told we had to come in, so they didn't GIVE us the work until LAST THURSDAY!  Motherf'er's, all.)</p>

<p>The building is f'ing locked up, such that to even get to the kitchen on our floor, I have to use my pass card.  I couldn't park where I usually park because most of the garage is closed.  The cafe and *$ are closed in our building.</p>

<p>And I have a f'ing cold and would have loved to stayed snug in my apartment and rested.  But noooooooooooooooooooooo. I had to come to f'ing work.</p>

<p>Hello from my FREEZING cold office.  Seriously, my hand is numb from the cold.  There is no heat in my office, just space heaters.  Since the building was closed for four days -- and because there's snow on the ground -- the building is FROZEN and it's taking a while for the little space heaters to do their job.  Oh well.  At least my chair is comfy!  </p>

<p>Another day of vacation. And already a lot done - to the gym with the wife, some banking, dentist's appointment set up (putting in permanent crown - the painful part was done awhile ago), and clearing the driveway of some small overnight drifts.</p>

<p>Today has been teh suck so far.</p>

<p>DD's first day of medication was a disaster.  It took 85 minutes to get her to swallow a single pill.   I was already over an hour late to work from that, when the car repair place called and said the third attempt at a new heater for the van was in.  It should take 15 minutes.  I went and waited...and waited...and found out it is a bigger problem that they can't fix right away.  Of course this is the vehicle we're planning to drive to Nola tomorrow.    Momma needs a nap and it's not even lunch time yet.</p>

<p>So Christmas at the beach was way more eventful this year than it needed to be, but that's the way this year goes.  Dad's doing ok after the heart/hospital scare on Thursday, Roxie's adorable, but now they're dealing with ridiculous amounts of snow.  I put a bunch of pics on my blog (link below) and facebook.  Too much. </p>

<p>Add me to the overworked, under-healthy crowd.  There's a nasty cold going around and I have the beginnings of it.  I sent one of my assistants home today because she was obviously miserable.</p>

<p>I went shopping for boxing day specials (it's a Canadian thing) and I may have bought myself <span style="font-size:8px;">two</span> coats instead of one and <span style="font-size:8px;">a scarf for each</span> as well.  I couldn't choose.  They were so darn cheap! Still,  it's just so frivolous! </p>

<p>Speaking of Boxing Day.   Equinox says you guys don't have Boxing day.  Is this true?  Not that I think he's lying but... what's the dealio?</p>
