<p>I spent most of yesterday vegging out.  I was pretty tired from the travel home on Saturday and a bit of jet lag.  Had some slight delays with both flights but nothing too bad.  SFO was a bit of a zoo though. </p>

<p>I had a wonderful week in California with <strong>Moonie</strong>.  A full set of photos is on <a href="http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=101658&id=1443978524&l=053a52c640" target="_blank">FB</a> but here are a few of my favorites.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>We stayed 2 nights at a hostel located at this lighthouse (the hostel buildings are to the right, but off-frame) while we explored places south of the city (Santa Cruz, Pacific Grove, Monterey, Carmel).</p>

<p>We had to go to the beach of course.  I can't get enough of it, being in landlocked Ohio (Lake Erie doesn't really count).</p>

<p>We took a holiday lights tour with a local tour company.  It is the 1st actual touristy thing we've done together in SF.  I've made a point of avoiding the tourist stuff on prior visits because I wanted to see other cool stuff instead.  I loved this 1929 tour bus!</p>

<p>I am at work while my boys are snow boarding for the first time!  They have lessons at 11:30.  I so wish I could have gone with them.  DH is still in bed.  Gah.  I am so worried this damn flu is going to ruin our trip to Atlanta.  If either of the boys or I get it, we will not be able to go.  </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Fun:  DS #2 and I stayed up late (for him) watching the Sound of Music.  What a great flick.  It never gets old and it was fun DS liked it - although he thought there was entirely too much singing.  </p>

<p>Add me to the back-at-the-grind group.  At the moment, things aren't too crazy, but I'm figuring that will only last so long.  This week is essentially the 11th hour for a lot of our online services, and for people to get their stuff done before late fees go into place.  Five more days, and then at least the panic mode will be a thing of the past.  Then, it's clean-up time, sort to speak.</p>

<p>Bard & Moonie - I love the photos.  You two seem to have the coolest adventures, and you're so flippin cute together, to boot.   </p>

<p>LOTS of snow here too.  About 15 inches in Boston, I think.  My landlords are out of town and we have tons of sidewalk, plus the driveway, etc.  One of my neighbors called me over and lent me her gas powered snowblower, plus my father used the little electric one I have to do the drive way, and another neighbor helped me shovel out the end of the driveway, plus the curb cuts at the intersections.  When i got in...my mother said she couldn't believe how helpful everyone was.  THIS is why I'll never leave my neighborhood. </p>

<p>My parents stayed wtih me last night, so my mother could get to her chemo appt this morning (since I live so close to Dana Farber)...but it was canceled anyway.  I feel pretty rotten, but I am so happy they went home finally. I found it very stressful to have them here, esp since my mother is so needy.  My poor father.</p>

<p>Busy day here.  The boys and I went to celebrate Christmas at my parents in Montreal today.  The drive was beautiful.  It's cold, but there was no snow.  I'm glad we weren't part of that storm for once. </p>

<p>I'm getting a cold.  I'm fighting it with all guns blazing but it's making its way into my lungs.  I can feel it.  I'm going to hit the sack and hope that tomorrow it finds another victim.  Any takers?</p>
