we will be having christmas dinner tonight and opening presents afterwards since we will be travelling tomorrow.

Good Morning All,

It's a beautiful day here in the Commonwealth - mid 30's , no wind, clear sky. Unfortunately however there's black ice EVERYWHERE, which made for a carpy run. 10K, 55:09 (8:53) was the best I could do and not fall flat on my face.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to you all. May Santa bring you Garmins, socks, gels, and a pair of your favorite kicks!

Cold and windy so I was in my basement again for 3 miles in 32:45.

I don't care for my own wrapping of gifts. Maybe they'd turn out better
if I didn't have the white merlot to assist.

Good runs all.

That Merlot adds style, no doubt

I have enlisted my teenage daughter to wrap in years past, but I wrapped my gifts to Mrs hup myself this weekend. My daughter did a much nicer job ... even back when she was 10 .... oh well.

No run today but I am doing an hour of yin style yoga. I'm feeling great after my long run yesterday. It gives me a fairly good feeling about the marathon.

I'm working today, then off for two weeks .... woohooo!

I have a terrible cold with a bad cough so I'm not going to do anything except rest. I feel like carp despite lots of rest, zicam, and fluids. Unfortunately we have to attend a party tonight so I'll try and get a nap after I get home from work today. Luckily I'm only working till 1pm.

7.5 miles in IRC today. Beautiful ghostly white moon lighting everything up.

I think I've decided to make RunningAHEAD my regular posting place. But there are so many great people here I'll certainly be visiting from time to time. I'll keep a cold one in the fridge for you over at RA; drop in anytime.

Ralph had Veta on the leash and we walked to the park and then we walked around the 'hood until we got to where we had one mile to home.

I ran. Thank God! I thought I would never run again but, I ran one mile today.

Veta just had to run too, so Ralph had fun running with the mini-schnauzer.

Whew. I am so happy that I didn't forget how to run.

Patrick: I loved watching that piece on ABC about BOMF. Excellent.
Riley: Please feel better soon. It's a drag being sick now. Have a good power nap.
Pro: You are like some sort of PR machine.
Hup: Yay!
AnaT: Good basement running, did you watch TV or listen to music?

Good running all y'all!

I'm kicking myself for not running yesterday, but after 12 consecutive days, my legs needed a day off. I was hoping the gym was open today to do some running and raquetball, but I guess they closed all day. So, I'm heading out for a 5 mile town jog.

A blessed Christmas to all.

Dennis, we are like Bizarro-people (ala Seinfeld)
I spent the first 22 years of my life in NE Ohio, knowing all about Hinckley and pancakes and buzzards (remember WMMS, Home of The Buzzard?)

Now I've been in SE Virginia for almost 22 years...
(Ran the Shamrock Half once or twice)

Rest days are good. Cross-training is good.

Rosie! What great news! You must be feeling wonderful to be able to run again, but please increase in very slow increments. You don't want a set-back.

I'm so happy for you.

Hello, all.

Mike, ^5 on staying upright. I hate black ice.

Peter, how is your Achilles? Maybe I'm remembering wrong that your AT was grumpy.

Hey a'tech, I hope it wasn't cold & windy in your basement. What is that in your avatar picture?

I hope you enjoy your time off, hup.
