Upper 50's this morning with high humidity. Much dew on the grass and cars. Made for a wet sweaty run. :)

6 ez this morning. Felt like a new awkward runner. 4 more tonight with the annual uptown, downtown, all around 4 mile Christmas run.

Good morning John and Ilene.

drippy droppy here too. We got snow yesterday and for the next several days we should have lots of on and off rain with snow above 2000 ft. I live at about 1600 ft so we'll probably miss more snow. My son is sure wishing we'd get a nice big ol dumping of snow though since he's on Christmas break.

today will have to be a rest day for me. I have much grocery shopping to do after work tonight to get ready for Christmas. I plan on only having to hit the stores once this week for food and then I'm done. Short work week for me as I'm taking Thur/Fri off. Hoping my packages, that I am having delivered to my office, are here by Wed!

Short week for me, too. Thank goodness for that. I'm just so burned out on work stuff I really am looking forward to some time off. After Wednesday, we're shut down till January 3. Yay.

DH took this of me when I showed up at his office after my 10 mile run yesterday. It got colder again today, so glad I got two outdoor runs in this weekend. Gym day at lunchtime for me today. Oh, and happy solstice! By the end of this week we will be gaining back some daylight! Woohoo!

Alaskan runners rawk!

Squat for me today, of the doodlely variety as tw would say.. Had my annual physical this morning instead. All fluid levels seem normal and air pressure within good operating range, so I'm good for another 2000 miles.

Hi John, Ilene, Tamster, Mike and Erika!!!

Brrrrrrr! That's a cold look, Erika! I have such a hard time getting the muscles to cooperate at those temps.

Didn't take the time last night to pack my outdoor gear into my gym bag for work, so hit the TM for an easy 3 with a fast-ish finish at lunch. Too fast to be recovery, too slow for a tempo.

Back to work now!!

Enjoy the day everyone!!

Hey everyone. Yoga was cancelled and then the teacher glared at me when I told her I couldn't make the party tonight because I'll be lifting weights instead. Mike, that's good news. Tammy, your office should be closed and they shouldn't make you take those days off. We are closed then and I'm taking Wednesday off.

Opie, our office is going to be closed both of the Eve's. so as far as using my vacation days, I'm only having to use up 3 of them for the 23rd, 29th, and 30th. Usually, we are open on the Eve's until 3 p.m., but I guess this year the courts decided to close the entire day and we can only close our office when the courts are also closed. But since I get over 7 wks of vacation time a year, I don't mind using up a few of my days here and there for longer weekends.

Do-over day today. Got dressed to run this morning but never got my mojo on to get out the door. Guess this head cold is taking a bigger toll on me than I thought. So around 1pm I called it a day, changed out of my running duds, took a shower and started my day from scratch. Probably won't even bother with yoga tonight either. Meh.

Erika, that's one mightily frosty photo! I suppose it's all about what someone gets used to. When it's either run or none, you make the choice, right? Lucky for me, I'm choosing a total rest day today. :)

Believe it or not, I'm gonna hit my limit for accured annual leave before long and have to take more time off. We also got a $1,000 bonus which seems like a waste of money in my case.

I technically do not get any vacation time (just another added 'benefit' of the private sector...), so I'll be working all week and next. But I'm definitely a proponent of spending Opie's bonus on beer!

I'm considered a corporate officer, so that means I can take as much vacation as I want. But if I did that, I would probably get severed...

OM, you can hangout with me while you slack. I'm an excellent slacker! And I think it would be wise for Erika to not set foot in a bank while dressed like that; they might get the wrong idea.

Heh. DH's office is right next to a credit union that has been robbed a couple of times. Good thing it was a Sunday and they were closed.

Opie's buying beer? Cool!

4 miles on the elliptical today in what might be a PW of ellipticalling for me at 34:17. I used a different machine than I usually do and I'm sure they're all calibrated a little differently. Either that or my legs were really tired.

Thanks Erika for reminding me again why I am on the treadmill every day!!

I'm self-employed so I can take as much vacation as I want. Unfortunately, I don't get anything done if I do.

I usually like to stay busy through the first of the year and then cut back in Jan and Feb.

Yesterday wiped me out pretty good so today was a cutback day. 4.0 miles in 48 minutes 12% incline 2530 ft elevation gain

The run still got a little hard the last 15 minutes.

Yes, Erika, I have enough beer money left for everyone! After a 6-pack of Dundee Summer Wheat Beer, I still have about $993.

And speaking of summer, it's really warm right now, not like last year at this time. I went in the Y, changed into my stuff and headed out on a mission to find the XC track. I've always wanted to do that, and with my Green Silence, I knew the grass track was just the perfect surface. With that full moon, I eventually found it in the middle of a field and it was a blast! 2 miles, went in and did my circuits she just sent me, which are basically from Budd Coates, and back out for 2 more miles.
