Happy Thanksgiving, folks.

Radioyada and I are heading out soon for a local 5k. Hoping the rain moves far away, as I dun wanna run in rain!

Good luck Turkey Trotters! I'm off to a hilly local 10k... not expecting a 10k PR, but I am hoping for a PR on that course (although I think technically the course is different than last time I ran it due to construction) - the change is minor, so I'll still consider it a course PR

I wish I were running today but we're off to CT shortly. I do not wish I were heading to CT.

Off to my Turkey Trot 5k...almost had to cancel, I was trying to do this one event with my dad, then go off to the BF's family (2.5 hour drive) for dinner. They do dinner at 1pm...I do 5k at 9:30...just wasn't feasible.

My lovely BF called and arranged for them to push back dinner one hour so I could do my run. He's in the good books today!

Great runs (racing or otherwise) to all!

No run for me today. I ran almost 5 miles yesterday, and I don't have a Turkey Trot planned. So today will be nothing but a Day of Gluttony.

Good luck to all the racers today! At least here in the northeast, it sure is a nice day for a run... Enjoy it!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Went out for a sleazy 2 this morning. Apparently a major cold front is coming in in about an hour. I'm really glad I got up to run. Heading to my sister's for lupper and back to my parents' for the rest of the weekend (to bake Xmas cookies!).

Good luck, racers!

Back from my Turkey Trot 5K.

I just can't seem to break that elusive 21:00 barrier.

Finished in 21:40. As usual I went out strong, slowed in the middle mile and picked it back up in the end. Somehow I've got to learn how to keep it strong through mile 2.

Huge turn out - the weather is just glorious. 57 and sunny.

Anyway I'm not really complaining. It's my third best 5K time ever and I did just run two marathons.

LL congrats on your 5K! I found that after doing my series of marathons earlier this year that I was faster, but I was fastest months after the last one, so maybe that sub 21 is just a couple months ahead of you.

I will be going out in my first post-Philly today. I am thinking I'll just do an easy 3. Gonna wear my early b-day present: an Atalanta determination skirt; it has capris underneath!

morning!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My legs were feeling really good yesterday after the run Sunday and two days rest. I decided to go out for a walk and dammit, my left hamstring yelled at me as I was getting my shoes on. Not sure what that's about, went for the walk anyway, and today the hammy's still a bit pissy. So I walked again. I may go for a sleazy jog later, 'cause I'm getting antsy. If not, definitely tomorrow...

"It's my third best 5K time ever and I did just run two marathons."
Um, Larry, you're a machine.

Have a great day, everyone!

You just came off a marathon on Sunday, Larry. You may be a racing fiend, but it's got to be tough to run full out even for 3.1 miles.

And I don't know what kind of training you've been doing, but have you been doing any sort of interval training? It seems like if you haven't been doing much of that, at some point some intervals at the right pacing should help train your legs to run at the pace you'd need to break 21 minutes.

Morning My Pretties,

I have yet to run since my half in Philly. I'm getting a little ansy. I will probably go down to the bowels of my home and hop on the BigT at some point for 3 miles, maybe even 45 minutes. I don't know. I hate it down there. It smells like boys and spiders.

Go GET 'EM Myron and Noni!!!!

Congrats LLyourmamashouldbesoproudofyouberg!!

remember the harder you run today the more food and drink you can consume!
Happy running to all you Turkeys!

Yeah Matt you're spot I on. The only speedwork I've ever done is when I do a 5K race. I really want to concentrate on getting in some proper speedwork over the winter. Problem is I don't even know where to begin or what to do. I've got to do some research and figure out a proper workout.
