<p>miss allie kate came down with chicken pox over the weekend so our week has been hellish. chicken pox in infants is rare and potentially dangerous but thankfully she had a mild case. we think she was exposed at the pedi's office.. which is stilll baffling b/c as a breast fed baby, she should be covered by my antibodies.. but apparently, its been known to happen. oh, well. onward and upward.</p>

<p>Delicious nap this afternoon. And then I wrapped & dropped off cousin Matt's gift (the butter dish) at my Uncle's. Luckily my aunt was there, because uncle is a super super super slow talker, and conversations can be painful. (He's great, it just takes him forever to get a thought out.) Aunt Cindy gets his brain/mouth moving faster. </p>

<p>Firing a kiln tonight, but for the next couple hours the pots are warming up/drying out in the kitchen oven. Just to make sure there aren't any explosions.</p>

I'm still waiting to hear from a couple people, but so far the husband of a woman Sisterleenie runs with is a director of something-or-other there. So that's something.</p>

Thanks for the invite - we definitely need to meet up soon!  BUT, my DH's band is playing at the Hody Saturday night and I will be at home working my butt off.  It is going to be a crazy weekend. </p>

<p>Yeah, I feel really, really bad for him.  No one should have to go from being from a 24 year old with it all, to being paralyzed from the chest down and without your core family.  It is just wrong.  And very sad.  But, he does not have any traumatic brain injury (which they said is nothing short of miraculous) and he does have his wife and friends.  He will go back to law school when able as well.  They are still figuring out how to get some of the technology he needs though (and of course he needs to rehab some more).  Thanks for all the hugs to him.</p>

<p>If you and Hubby aren't doing anything saturday night my friends bar Dexter's Pub ( the old Stevens/ Sand Lot)  on North and E Johnson is having their 3 year party.  A bunch of us are meeting there at 7 and staying for probably the rest of the night. </p>

<p>I can't even imagine what your friend is going thru, what a hellish experiance and with the holidays comeing up I'm sure it's only going to get harder for him. <br><br>
