Kev- 200 sounds like an aweful lot of repeats, hope they are short distanced

Apple- haha, This doll house did not come as a kit... I had to buy all the lumber from Lowes and build it from scratch to look like the one they sell at Potery Barn for $399. (only cost me $63)

I got sumthing going on in my quads right above my right knee... I think I may have pulled it yesterday jacking w/ that project. Doesn't hurt to walk really, but it does when I go down stairs. I had planned on 5 miles w/ some fartleks thrown in, but I'm thinking that may not be a good idea. I may try an easy run on the TM. Hopefully it will be gone by Saturday.

fuller--enjoy those 200's

BBS--you'll have to post a photo. My dad built our doll house, mom did all the decorations. Cigar box for a bed, oatmeal can for a wing back chair, Downy softner lid for a trash can. Ah... the memories...

Fishbowl for me this morning. I seem to have the same counting skills as David and did some unknown distance in 56:something. Felt good, whatever I did.

The rain here just won't stop! While we are safe from any river flooding, we have standing water everywhere. Our sump pump is running non-stop. River flooding is bad. Son1 and I will need to plan our bike route carefully as lots of roads are closed due to flooding. No doubt, come August, we'll be in a drought.

Mornin folks,

I'm still suffering from some day-after effects on yesterday's dental procedure, though I've so far resisted on taking any pain killers. I more or less swore off that stuff 2 years ago and I feel like it's not that bad. I would prefer to heal naturally but at the same time I feel kind of crappy. I had hoped to get this run in this morning but woke up with a sore mouth, sinus headache and dehydration. Rain outside didn't help matters.

I packed a bag for a rainy outdoor run at work anyway, but now I've got a pile of crap to do here and then I need to leave early for a 4pm massage appointment. You can see where this is probably going...we shall see. I hate missing 2 straight days, especially when both are unplanned rests, but if that happens hopefully I can get back in the saddle tomorrow.

kevin - good luck on the 200s

BBS - sounds like a new line of work re: dollhouse building. $399 retail vs. $63 cost. Nice little profit margin. Probably smart to back off on the speed for a day.

4BM - flooding is likely around here too. No doubt the trail that goes through our neighborhood will be flooded in places. Glad our house is at the top of a hill.

So I went to the High School track this morning to find that they have locked the gates to it. Why they would do that is anyones guess. So back home I came and parked the car. So I decided to do 1/4 mile repeats with equal rest between.

9 X .25 miles with some repeats on hills/inclines.

6:50; 7:17; 7:16; 7:29; 6:54; 7:17; 6:58; 6:55; 6:56

I feel like I could have done a few more repeats this morning, but in the interest of time I was done.

5.50 miles 46:35(8:28).

BBS- Be careful with the quad.

4BM- Good luck finding a dry path to ride on.

Hawk- Hopefully your sore mouth will stop hurting soon.

We had rain on Monday which quickly turned into a bunch of heavy wet snow. Now it is almost melted away.

Hawk and 4BM- Hopefully the rain will stay just that.

Have a great day everyone.

Hey all !

BBS - Wow, impressive! I am sure the DW appreciates your talent and all little girls should be treated like a princess by their dad :) When is the due date?

Hawk - Don't stress too much over the rest, just think of the snap in your legs you will have when you get out there.

Kevin - I would have to move

Mom - we are soaked here too.

Did my 4 last night and went smooth. I have 3 scheduled for today but not sure how I am going to get it in, probably late day run in the rain.

I am still using my Brooks Ghost (only two weeks old) but stopped at the store today and went back to the Nike Zoom. They just feel so much better and think they have more cushion which I need. Plus the toe box is not as big which works for me. Not sure when I will dump the brooks but soon.

Cool thing, I get to participate in a phone conference call with Bart Yasso. I have to come up with questions and I am not sure what I want to ask. If you had an oppurtunity to talk with Bart directly and ask him anything you wanted, what would it be....?? Let me know, I am drawing a blank... I'll let you know what he says if you have a suggestion.

Well, enjoy the rest of the day and stay dry peeps.

6 miles on the work TM. I had planned on 5 miles but the thought of going back to my desk allowed my to fight through the intense boredom for the bonus mile.

Apple - "So, Bart. Riddle me this. Two trains. One leaves LA and the other from Chicago. Which one has the most BQ -10 min runners?"

kfuller - jump the gate. Cross training...

Hawk - Take the meds. I had only one wisdom tooth. It was impacted and they drilled and crowbarred it out. Hurt like a banshee when the local anesthetic wore off. Thank you Vicodin . A week after the extraction my jaw hurt like it'd been hit with a brick.

4boysmom - get the canoe ready.

BBS - take care of that quad

Good day all. Fly by post as i am waiting for DW to get home so we can leave for DS's soccer game. 1.5 hour drive to get to the game. Not fun on a school night. It will be late until we get home.

Some great workouts by all. BBS heal up. Kevin those are some long .25 mile repeats. What like a 28 min mile pace?
