Ten miles on TM, 85 minutes.

It is kind of strange because I got up early this AM but was so stiff and creaky you couldn't pay me to go outside and run.

So at noon, I was in a kind of fatalistic mode, and set the TM for 8:27 pace and told myself, "just go run until you can't".

But I ended up feeling better as the run went on, and even when I quit I felt like I had a lot left.

Guess I never will understand this running stuff.

Happyfeat is correct. I'm always creaky especially in the morning. But a mile or two and rust is gone. It is easier however to run later

Switched my 9 miler for 7 tonight and will run 9 tomorrow. Nice and easy does it. Have a killer workout Thursday and then it's pretty much hold on till race day.

Well I had a fun run this evening...ended up doing a "wave run" without planning or monitoring it. Just ran to relax and shake off the day's aggravations. Ended up with a warmup mile at 11; followed by alternating 10:30 and 10 mpm miles just about on the dot. Quite jazzed about that.

Back to Bob's post, something else I've noticed over the past year as I've run more miles than I have in the past: Previously, if I had to get up in the middle of the night, I'd limp stiffly to the "powder room" Now I'm running more miles, I'm not longer gimpy in the middle of the night. Wierd, huh? My legs may still not be ready to run first thing in the morning, but I think I've gotten some of the other bugs worked out with better conditioning.

Nice monday runs everybody. Tomorrow will be my first running day this week. I did an eliptical until I can't go any farther workout yesterday and made it

50 minutes. Today was an 80 minute sweatfest at a little slower pace. No way could I do those workouts running without getting injured.
