4 sleasy. Gonna try and do 4-5 every other day until my toe gets cut up next thurs. I may try for 9 next Wednesday, seeing as I won;t be able to run for three weeks after, and one of my favorite courses at work is a 9 miler on the shore of the LI sound, and I am finally at the fitness level I need to be to run it pre-work (although I still need to get up early for it).

My fitness news is that the running club sent a message yesterday that someone is forming a steering committee to start Girls on the Run here. Hooray! I already sent an email to get involved and heard back from her.

Morning all! Got out to meet the regular crew for a bridges run in 50* temps... sooooo smurfy! Ended up with 7.8 miles and a big smile on my face. Love starting the day with this run. Heel is feeling a little achy so I'll spend some time tonight stretching and babying that bad boy.

Ah, what the heck. Swear out loud! I know I love it when I'm teaching. The more they groan and complain, the happier I am. Then again, I am a bit mental....

did 7 faster miles last night while gabbing away about race plans, etc. It was fun and a really pretty night out.

Then I went to the mall, spent an hour trying to find a dress for a wedding, pretty really frustrated and ended up with black dress pants

Hi all - 5 miles yesterday. Would've been longer, but an acquaintance who's been asking me for advice about trying to survive the Nike's Womens HM this weekend on less than ideal training sighted me right smack dab in the middle of my run (would that be runnus interruptus?) So we talked shop for about 20 min asking her how the training had been going and giving as many tips as I could about how to get to the finish line in one piece before I finished out my session.

Have fun Cindi! If Alki Beach is the place GoV took me to get my shakeout run before the Seattle Marathon, then it oughta' be all good.

Love to see the progress you're making Litch!

Woohoo Amy - good luck in getting that going!

OK, CoachT has the Danbury HM in his signature, and I am thinking about it as well. An early spring race to keep me on the running straight and narrow. I know boB ran it this past April. And it is pretty close to Missy's new digs. Mini-meetup anyone?

Date is April 10th. Course is hilly, and has some odd areas where you are running on the shoulder of roads that are not closed (at least when I ran it on 2006).
