Good morning friends! I was up bright and early on a beautiful, cold, and sunny day. I took the dogs for a mile walk while DH got some extra beauty sleep, and now we're getting ready to go for a spin class. He doesn't know it, but I arranged to have the spin instructor play our wedding dance song during the song rotation. It will be a great surprise!

Later we're hoping to hike our favorite short trail with the dogs, and then we're going out to dinner to celebrate our 6th anniversary.

It's a gorgeous day here, sharp and sunny and dry (about 48 degrees). Perfect hiking and running weather. I hope to watch some of the Chicago marathon on TV if I can find the right channel. DH is hoping they'll repeat some of the Yankees game from last night on TV at some point today.

Happy Anniversary, Susan! What a nice surprise you planned! Make sure to let us know how it went!! And thanks for sharing a photo of a beautiful couple.

12mile run for me, the longest since early August. My body knew I had a cold and my legs reminded me I mtb'ed short but hard for the last two days. I still haven't decided whether I want to train for half marathon in Nov. I just feel there isn't enough time to train properly. I don't like not being prepared enough to tackle for PR (actual results of course are subject to other factors). Though I would love to take my MTB to the yesterday's singletfack to see how it differs from the Stumpy29er, I had better not and give some rest.

Gorgeous non-fall day here, so I rode my bike to the pool for master's workout.

9.6 relatively ez miles on the road bike, instead of the mtn bike commuter. It was nice just jamming my cap, goggles, and shammy in my jersey pockets, throwing a couple of bottles in the cages and getting to the pool. It was a new sort of freedom!

DOR. Was supposed to run 6 but my PF is squawking so I'm taking it easy since race day is next Sunday. I would really like to run 1 of the 3 HMs this year uninjured....

Early morning ride with small group. Temp at start of the ride was low 40's. It was chilly. We ended up doing 20 miles. Saw Thor with a group of runners. This afternoon played 9 holes with BIL

DH was suitably impressed, and I got very emotional. It was a great day. We had a nice dinner out too this evening and I had *2* glasses of wine. Big time for me.

Thanks for all the good wishes,

Happy anniversary Susan! Glad you had a wonderful day!

Had a pretty good run of just under 13.5 miles around my hometown...first 6 miles were snaking up and down the streets near my parents' house, then second part was an out and back with some good hills. Only down side was I realized at the end of the run I hadn't hydrated enough, so ended up with a nasty headache almost immediately after. Won't make that mistake again.
