It was AWESOME. We were up 4-2 in the third period, but then Chicago tied the game with about 7 or 8 minutes to go. It looked like we were headed into OT when JVR scored the game-winner with 32.8 seconds left in regulation! Pandemonium! Cheering and dancing in the stands! Good guys win 5-4!!! What a great first game for her to attend!

On a serious note, glad to hear that your friends are OK, but that is fucked up.

Nice to see CoachT back here.

Been in a funk lately. Work is a joke. My lay-off date was moved from 12/31 until 3/31, but it is dead here. The last part of our company was being sold to another entity, started trading for 2 months, and then the purchaser decided to pull the plug. So that last group of 130 people that thought they had a job are now being laid off as well. But we still have to migrate everything over to the purchasing company, because they actually did trade for 2 months, and need the apps and data for audit purposes. You can imagine how enthused all of the folks that are now getting laid off are to help with these projects, as well as the IT staff at the purchasing company, that now has to set up dozens of fairly complex applications that will never get used. Most of my days, I am at work browsing the web. I have done tons of self study for when I start looking for a new job, but that gets tired quickly. I have made up some projects for myself just to keep busy too. The group I work directly with, which was nine guys at one point, is down to three. Most people come in late and leave early, because we are all in limbo. One co-worker was also supposed to get extended until March, but asked not to, because he had a position lined up.

Fitness has been meh. After a decent fall, I ran 0 miles in December. Lots of excuses, but the bottom line is 0. Started doing Body For Life with a co-worker this week, so we will see where that goes. It is a 12 week program that should end right around my last day here (unless I get extended again), so at that point hopefully I will have a new job lined up with a new schedule, and we will see where things end up.

Sorry for the overwhelmingly self-centered post...
