I want to run this afternoon. Weather's a bit iffy, but no matter what, I'll at least do a hard walk if the conditions dictate being cautious about footing.

Upper body, back and shoulders are sore this morning, probably the effect of all the negative reps I did on Sunday.

BEAUTIFUL day out. clear blue sky. No wind. Of course, it was 29 degrees out, but it was beautiful. And yes - that is WAY too freakin's cold for me. I know that many of you run in temps of 48 below, with a windchill of -200, but for me, 29 is FREEZING. I learned that - as long as it's not windy and raining, 29 is tolerable. Still made my head ache for the first 1.5 miles.

Absolutely. Lots of mediocre, and even crappy runs behind me, I have now had a few really great ones in the last week or so. At times, just felt like I could keep on going..... That. is. nice.

Safe travels RFTL.

Easy 4 on the TM this AM. Following up on yesterdays QOD, according to McMillan, my recvovery runs should be at 11:12-11:42. I am pretty good on the TM about setting a speed and keeping it at where it should be. Yesterday's 4.5 recovery miles were run at a 9:52 pace. I am not recovered, so I took it super easy today.

Morning, friends--

I RAN OUTSIDE TODAY!!!!! It was 30* and beautiful. Today is the first day of 10k training, and the schedule only called for 2 miles, so out I went. And since it was first run outside in a while, I pushed it and ended up with 11:02 mm avg. which is my fastest ever run. It felt like I was going to die at the end b/c I ended on a hill, but I loved it. I'm so excited to have a plan and start following it!

Yoga tonight from my favorite instructor.

Good days, everyone!

Morning. Last night's run was good - 6 miles recovery/easy. Dog was very excited as it was about 4 degrees out or so. Lots of fine snow fell all day so the streets were quite slick. trails were messy but I had traction. Planning on 8 tonight.

Hey all - looking forward to an outdoor run. The weather is a bit dodgey, but not bad. I just couldn't climb on the treadmill again yesterday - 26 miles over the weekend was too much TM running for me, so I took yesterday off.

The extra rest day makes me confident in saying my hammy/groin feels 100%, so I'm pleased about that. No soreness at all, no tightness. I managed to squeeze out 40 miles Thurs-Sun to make the week respectable so I felt OK about taking a day off, and I can still hit 55+ this week since I'm planning on a group long run this weekend.

Anyways - hope everyone is having a good day now that we're ALL back at work (boo!!)

Ok, so I took a shower, ate breakfast, packed my lunch, and was just packing my bag to get ready to catch the bus when I looked out the window. Torents of snow! It's so beautiful but it makes me even more thankful that I finished my run an hour ago. If I got up now I would never have gone out. I love snow, just not running in it. You (much more) Northern folks really do have my admiration.
