Last workday for me! We're heading to Vegas tomorrow. We're going to see Garth Brooks on Sunday night, but we haven't made any other plans. We barely have a wish list. So nice to be unscheduled...I hope I can function that way :)

Haha. Garth Brooks comment is funny given I saw someone posted something on FB about dreaming that his wife had an affair with GB. ??? Weird.

Anyway, SUPAH FUN day for me!

I have to drive to Milwaukee for lunch with our CEO today. There is no real purpose for the meeting other than getting together to say hello. So - this lunch (involving almost 3 hours of driving) will shoot my day into non-billable oblivion. SO, I slept in this morning, am working a little from home, will jump on the TM for a while, then head to MKE for my lunch. Afterwards, I will detour to the Ann Taylor outlet on my way back and do a little retail therapy. Then a wee bit of work from home before I get to go to a surprise party for my good friend's 40th birthday party. How's that for a Wednesday! :) Ooh - and I slept in until 6:30 and my boys were in AWESOME moods this morning. :D

I thought Garth Brooks retired a few years ago...

Hey, I'm still having problems changing my avatar. I get the following error whenever I try to upload a new jpeg from my computer:

Has anyone changed their avatar lately? Has anyone tried and failed? I had tried about a week ago and got this error, and I guess I was hoping that the error would go away if I gave it some time. But that didn't happen. Anyone know what the problem is? Or do I need to contact satfix?

Hi, ho, everyone! Trying to pull myself back to the land of the living. Big life decisions are swirling in my mind, and it's making me a little crazy, but I'll handle it.

First classes today at 1:00 and 3:00 this afternoon. That's sleepy-time for me, but maybe this will mean I'll have totally productive mornings every day. Yeah, right.

Belated hugs and congrats to the KJ family.

I stitched yesterday, but then I discovered that I was one stitch off and had to "reverse stitch" about 3/4 of what I had done. I hate that, so I gave up and turned on A-Team from Netflix. I was really getting into it and the disc pooped out. There was a dent in the disc so it was unplayable after 45 minutes on two different players. I hate that too, so I watched When Harry Met Sally on Instant. Much better.

Have a good one folks!

ouchie!!! I just got my 2nd Hep B shot and already my arm is hurty. But on the bright side I did finally get a Daffy Duck band aid. I prefer him over the Wascally Wabbit and that's who I've gotten the last couple of shots.

Hi all - had another one of those "geez, you're getting old" moments. My niece Kayla came over all proud of and sporting her new knit cap and I realized how much she had grown, and also that she's not too far away from venturing into the tween category.

((((Theia)))) I hope you're feeling better after that fall!

I think I have a new favorite "As Seen On TV" type product, in that I would actually buy this for someone just to see if it worked

In fact, make that a QOD: have you actually bought an "As Seen On TV" product? And if so, one that worked as advertised?

I think I only bought one - The Medicus, which helped correct swing flaws in your golf stroke. It did actually work - my iron shots went from atrocious to merely mediocre heh

Remember me??

The last week here has been a bust. Today is actually my first day in the office since last Wednesday, because of mother nature. That, and the guy who plows my driveway has been a no show. So I went a bought a snowblower. It is scheduled to be delivered on Friday, and we are expecting more snow on Friday, so I will have to see how the timing works out. At least I will have some sense of control now. It sucks to be stuck in the house for hours\days on end waiting on someone.

QOD - The Shark. It works quite well, although it will loosen the glue on cheap peel-and-stick linoleum tile (which I hope to be removing in the next year or so anyway).

QOD: The only thing I bought off the TV was a two-disc Forever 80s mix. One disc was better than the other, but there were a lot of good classics on that. I'll have to go find that!

Hi Litch!

I'm leaving work early today to take my son to his first counseling session and hoping that this helps because I'm at the end of my tether. I don't know if he's actively making poor choices, or if he's suffering from depression, or if he's bipolar. No joke.

Then I'm hitting the gym for my mental health.

QOD: I can't think of any "As Seen on TV" products that I've bought, other than P90X and that's not really a product, like the Flo-Bee or Ginsu knives. "It can cut through a tin can and then slice through this tomato like it's butter!". But I can't wait to hear what other people have gotten!!

front ways. I only got it to piss off one of the bosses last winter but actually it's become pretty handy to have around.

I'm still curious though - I would like to hear what's worked well for you (or for that matter, what's worked like total carp)

That reminds me of a couple other items I got based on TV ads but didn't order directly from the 1-800 number - the Iron Gym (got it at a Sportsmart - works great as a pull-up bar) and the Perfect Pushup (hand me down from my parents, who weren't going to use it) seems like you could tweak your elbows, wrists, etc. mightily if you're not careful)
