Mornin' Kath! ...and everyone to follow. I'm hitting the yoga studio tonight, although I was able to run pain-free last evening after Saturday's trails, my ankles and feet are still a little sore so I'm gonna give 'em some love in the nice, warm studio.

Forgot to high-five Tim on that 10 miler last weekend, nice job!

Good job, Kath. I just cannot tolerate the TM for anything more than 4-5 miles these days. Bleh.

I'm still trying to shake off this cold, which moved into my stomach last night too. Yesterday I taught Spinning -- my first workout in four days (I ended up skipping Thursday's, Friday's, and Saturday's workouts because I felt so awful). Spinning almost killed me. My legs were F R I E D for the rest of the day...

... and this morning! Boot camp was inside because of icy roads, which was good because I definitely would have been bringing up the rear this morning. Some motivator I am! During our third mile this morning, I had to walk for a minute because my legs and lungs were on fire. (In my defense, we had run a mile, done 6 sets of stairs and 20 pushups, run another mile, done about 60 walking lunges, and then run another half mile or so before I had to slow down. But still.)

Happy Monday, all.

Just saw Maria's post. I'm so jealous of your consistency with yoga. That's the one thing I always say I'm going to do, but never actually get to. In fact, I looked for an early class tonight (I have a 7 p.m. meeting), but none of the local studios have a class that'll work for me. Bleh again.

I got in 10 yesterday at approximately 10 min pace. The trail was actually in decent shape which was a nice change. I then lifted my final w/o on this w/o card. Thank goodness. That thing was NASTY.

Yes I am sore thankyouverymuch

Hi all - sort of a modified brick yesterday at the gym: about 25 min on the stationary bike/2 mi on the treadmill. First run week above 20 mi since TCM, which is nice. Then I hit up the weights for a variety of stuff - my hammies and glutes are not very pleased that I upped the deadlift weight this week.

Planning on some yoga tonight. Oh, yeah, did I mention that I got in a yoga session on Friday at home despite being crawled on by ants? Looks like the extended cold damp weather were sending them inside the house as typically happens at least once a year

1) Yah, boring. But it's Sofa King cold here, and we have ice. I say not to ice. And, once I get in a rhythm I just zone out to my happy place and let the creative juices flow. I actually come up with a lot of great ideas on the tm, because I don't have to worry about being conscious of my surroundings.

Sleasy 2 miles this morning. May have to find a new gym. Work has been paying my membership, but that may be going away. Depending on who I ask, it will be Feb 1, or Oct 1. Ummm, big difference.

Maria - nice work on the trails over the weekend. How is the PF?

OMG, I would totally scream like a baby... ants, for whatever reason, totally & completely freak me out. Not a single ant, of course, but an army of them. You just know they're up to no good.

Rest day for me. I am definitely a bit sore today, but glad I did my yoga last night. I realized this morning that between my 17 miler and and 80 minutes of yogalates, I worked out for over 4 hours yesteday. Yep, I feel a bit like a badass now. ;)

Good afternoon, guys. Lots of nice running around here. And I'm impressed by all of you guys who squeeze yoga into your workouts too. I really need to do something like that to strengthen my core, but I just never get around to it.

Last night, I posted something last night that was probably too late for most people to read it. I think it's a pretty cool story. I won't waste the space here to write it all again, but here's a link to that post:

I was running late this morning, so I didn't take the time to pack my outdoor running clothes. I only packed gym clothes. So I guess I'll be doing my run on the TM tonight. I'd like to get in an hour or so, but I'm afraid that might not happen. The gym has a policy of half an hour on the equipment when it's crowded, and it doesn't get any more crowded than Mondays in January, when all the Resolutionists are still around. We'll see what I can do...

boB - that's pretty inspirational they all finished, and I really hope your dad ends up doing that race next year. In fact, I think that would be somewhat newsworthy - man does his first run race at 90 years old

I was just thinking today that my gym isn't nearly as crowded with Resolutioners as I expected it to be. Maybe I'm just going at the right times. I don't ever go right after work or right before work which is maybe where the glut of the Resolutioners end up. But I thought that the lunch hour would be a hot time to and it hasn't been bad at all.

I ran two eaaaaaasy miles on the treadmill. I'm trying out this run-every-day concept and making sure that my easy recovery runs really are easy.

I could use some yoga. I'm thinking a hot date with Rodney Yee tonight is in order! uuuuuuuuuuuuuhn that reminds me - the crawling ants?.....screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeammmm! I wouldn't mind seeing them but crawling on me? screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeammmm! I feel buggy just thinking about it.
