Hi gang! For once!!! I stuck with my plan and got my run in...even extended it a bit over what I had planned on doing! SO! ~3.5 miles in the books.
Then decorated our dock for our first "Dock-o-Treat" event on the lake. We had 14+ boats go trick or treating at docks around the lake! over 25 docks participated! It was fun and we had a great day for it. prizes went to best boat, best dock and best costume on a boat. Since I am not running it, won't know the winners until tomorrow. But, honestly, I think all the kids won. lol
What a nice idea for the kids! Sounds like a lot of fun ...
40 mile solo ride. Took most of the week off (two days for well-earned rest from September, and bike is still in shop). Dragged out the old bike today ...
Also, finally got around to my first smart phone. (Well - I had a trak-phone for commuting 20 years ago, but not sure if that counts). Have lived in cell-phone free bliss for many years, but given two bike accidents plus finally getting rid of the landline, it made sense ...Made a point of getting an e-bay special that can take a bit of abuse!
Well, Sat morning started with a very sad news that one of the super-fun-loving GIRLBIKER passed a day before totally unexpectedly. My FB is filled with beautiful pictures of her having great time doing all kinds of stuff.
David and I joined some friends who were camping near a super fun Mtb trails. We hit the trail mid-day then had a great dinner and drinks around campfire, exchanging many stories. We were planning to pitch a tent (everybody else has a glamping mobile) but expected rain made us decide to go home to a warm bed. I rode my Pony , boy, I struggled climbing every hill. This bike is so much fun on downhills, though! Almost 3 hrs of riding. Wish I have had better strength to push the heavy bike....
Sorry Yo - I saw the photo. Way to soon to leave the world - and nice smile. Glad you shared the good times that you did.
Another 42 today to try and get off to an okay start to the month. Before the ride, visited some local gardens with DW, and spent an enjoyable couple of hours walking around, delighting the eye.
Sorry Yo!
Saturday I mostly joined ZOj in puttering aorund. I had gotten bitten by a cat I was rescuing and decided I abx for prophyliaxis and those kind of knocked me on my btt. SUnday thougth i rallied to take some folks on a plesant 4 mile rambling hike.
