Instead of nuts, you may add double the quantity of chocolate chips.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Have ready a large cookie sheet. Preheat the oven to 350F</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Using a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and then cream in the sugars until the mixture is fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">In a small bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder and baking soda. Run 5km.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture one-third at a time, alternately with a bit of the milk, mixing well. Run another 5 km.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Using a tsp., arrange the batter in mounds two inches apart on a cookie sheet.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cookies shouldn't be too crisp. You might want to test with a couple of cookies first. They do fall when cooling, and you want them chewy but not crunchy. They are deceptive... looking not quite done so you leave them in too long. As I said, experiment.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Let cool for a couple of minutes before removing from tray, they can tend to crumble. Makes about 4 dozen.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;"><b>Food memory:</b> Won a chocolate chip cookie “Chip Off” with this one. Chocoholics beware!</span></span>

Soooo, this run 5km part, is it necessary to the recipe?

#6 ·
Well, it depends on how much dough you eat before baking them and how many you plan to eat after...

#7 ·
Good point. I don't do dough, generally, I prefer the finished product. I'm probably safe until after they're released from the sheet...
