Hi Eric,

Thanks for your question!  I took a look at the titles of the PMs that you received (without looking at the content of the messages, in case you're worried about that), and it looks like you recently received a PM with the subject of "." (just a single period).  If you look closely, you should find a period that is clickable so that you can access the message.

If you continue to have difficulty, let me know and I'll rename the message to something that is a bit easier to click.

Thanks!

So wait wait wait.

Not only can PMs not be deleted, but you guys can go in and read them?  Oh but "not look at the content" right?

Well that's just fan-fucking-tastic.  And yet not at all shocking.

Yeah, what's the story with PMs?  I can't delete the ones I've deleted.  :)  In other words, I am trying to clear the Trash folder, but they don't delete.  They just stay there... mocking me with their un-deleted-ness.  Same with the Sent folder.

no one is reading your PMs coby - No one on the kickrunners staff can even get to or do anything on the server and Huddler.com is a professional corporation with little time to worry about what you write or don't write in your PM's - but, if it bothers you that much - you have several choices.

1. Don't PM

2. Don't PM anything you're worried about anyone reading

3. Take advantage of all the other forums on the internet and 'fan-fucking-tastic' yourself there.

I will check with huddler to see if they can turn on the ability for you to delete your pm's.  we go from people bitching about not having ENOUGH PM's to people bitching about having too much PMs..

anyone picking up on my mood with some of the 'complaints' ?????

I was able to delete the PMs in the Sent folder after I posted.  No worries there.

I've checked with the developers regarding deletion of private messages. The system will automatically empty the 'deleted' emails every 30 days. They are working on changing it to allow deletions right away. It is on the near term horizon.

So, I've finally got around to reading a review, to vote for the best of the 3 for that nice little contest, and I'm wondering about the "Was this review helpful?" question at the bottom of the review.  Why is the only option "Yes" as an answer?  What if it wasn't helpful?  What if I want to select "No" as an answer?  There's not a "No" button to select.  This reminds me of phone surveys where the questions are phrased to get the response the surveyor wishes to hear.

I don't suppose it's a site issue so much as a wonder on my part.  Without the "No" you can't see that, for example, 17 out of 20 people found this review helpful, vs. 2 out of 20 if that is how a review is perceived.  Sometimes it's nice to sort reviews in order of helpfulness before you spend time reading them, and I'm just guessing that sorting in that way might be an option with this forum software.  I haven't investigated whether it is or not.

DG1 - I forwarded your issue to the developers via email (quicker response that way).

Thanks for posting your issue here.

Hi dg1,

I'm sorry that you're having trouble with the smiley box.  Could you do me a quick favor and clear your browser cache and see if that resolves the issue?  We recently made some changes, and it's possible that there is some stale data left in your browser.  This page has quick how-to regarding clearing cache.

Thanks!

yeah it's goofy - if you click on thread name, it goes to top.

If you click on the thread snippet, it goes to end post

no way to go to "last thing I freakin read" which would be pretty awesome

Does anybody else have this problem?

FWIW, I'm on a Mac running Firefox 3.6.6 and Snow Leopard
