The programs are written by experienced runners here at kickrunners.com. We have training programs for every runner - from a beginning 5K program to completing your first Ultra Marathon.
Our 5K training programs were written by Liam3494
- Liam was one of the first members at kicksports.com - He and Josh Clark wrote the original C25K program. Liam expounded on the training here at kickrunners.com. He created a more effective beginner program and then added an intermediate and advanced program as 'sequels' to the original.
Our 10K program was written by jcumming
. JC, as he's known around here, is a seasoned runner who understands the demands of training - especially for 'recreational' runners. He's qualified and has run the Boston Marathon - that in itself is an accomplishment worth recognizing.
In addition to the 10K program, JC wrote our 1/2 marathon program - this is a 'beginners' half marathon program designed to allow a first timer to complete the event without injury and with a sense of accomplishment that naturally comes with running 13.1 miles.
Our marathon program is written by Merigayle
is an ultra marathon runner. Her training runs are marathon in length so if anyone understands how to properly train and run a marathon, Merigayle
is definitely qualified.Merigayle
has also written a 50K training program.
You can download pdf copies of all our training programs from the "Articles" area. We've also set up a special Training Programs Forum for any questions you may have. Our Trainers check this forum regularly and will post an answer to your specific question.
