5 - 5 minute repeats yesterday was on the menu during track workout yesterday. We ran at a 4min/km pace and my running partner and I exchanged leads. We were able to complete each repeat without too much difficulty. I'd rate it an 8 on 10 in terms of difficulty.

Nice seeing DF yesterday. Keep up the good work.

Ran for a reovery run this morning for 30min and stretched. Ah... that felt good.

Have a wonderful day.

Since MDS Nordion (One of the MDS companies) sponors the 5 and 10 km races at the Ottawa marathon all employees who raise at least $150 for the Ottawa Hospital get their registration fee covered and a chance to win a a nights lodging at the Holiday inn Select.

a little over 4.5 miles for me in 41 minutes at 4:30 a.m. this morning around the hood. banana.gif

I just read the list of runners starting the Marathon des Sable in Morroco this Friday and the Female winner of the 6 hour frozen ass run that you were in is running the MDS.

Yeah, the 6hr was just a short training session for her (I think she also owns or works in PegasusXRunning, Laval, sponsors of the 6hr runs) there was another guy there heading off for the MdS too, I forget his name. Crazy bastards biggrin.gif

Zero mileage for me since the weekend and a big fat zilch today, I'm struggling to get out there midweek but at least I'm still getting my long-runs in. And on that note... I picked up my Crosslite's todaybanana.gif banana.gifbanana.gif

Nice shoes, now don't go getting them all dirty.biggrin.gif

Her and her husband Renato own the Pegasus in Laval. I only checked the web site when a little birdy told me they were there. That is my ultimate dream race. I'm gonna have to go back to the store and pick up yet another pair of socks to hear about their adventure.

I'm going to try another run on the mountain early Saturday morning.

Alright.. I doubt I will be running that distance with everyone, but I guess I will try and get up there and check out the course! Disc Course!.. haha Who knows though.. I would rather run a long trail race than a marathon.. One of these days at least.
I am really suprised at the great turn out that KZ is getting from his friends at work! What a salesman, right? It is that big smile, I know it!
It is great to see all the activity with everyone!

Roly.. I should be ready for Either mountain real soon. Let's get a plan. Maybe a few others will join us.. ok!

Hey Truxx !
Roly and me we're doing the half, considering that the race is in 3 months... I'm pretty sure you can prepare without any problems. As for the disc course... I did'nt know that there was one in Tremblant. But sure enough this year we're going to try the course in mt-Avalanche. They open around mid june.

Rain, rain

Just got in from an easy run around the big Owe (aka Parc Maisonneuve, Stade Olympic and Botanical Gardens). I actually ran 80% on grass. What a joy!banana.gifTook about 40 minutes, easy - sort of.biggrin.gif

Got my Boston Bib today. Bib # 5965, which places me a bit closer to the start than last year by about 400 places. The count-down continues.cool.gif

Merc: When is boston?

I'm off to PPO (Piscine du Parc Olympique) for an extra practice tomorrow morning, to practice swimming in the pool provincials are being held at next month.

I'm going to Lasalle this Sunday (anyone else?) to jog a 2k with a friend and then the 5k with another friend. No speed involved but hey, it's still a run.

Tempo run for me this morning. It was supposed to be around 35 minutes at "comfortably hard", but I shut it down after 20 minutes. I tacked on one set of 4x400m's (90 seconds on, 90 seconds off) before warming down.

Nice, Gro! 50K?

Truxx, good to hear from you!
*big smile* you should sign up for Tremblant EVERYBODY'S doing it *big smile*

DR, see you Sunday!

Adjusted to the Dan estimated distances.

My nephew is coming down from Alberta that week and will be registering for the half, he should give easygo run for his money.

Very cool, Roly!

Do you know if the Victoriaville course is technical? I've got a half in Ottawa at the end of May that I don't want to screw up.

None of our courses are on easy terrain, however the mission of Course en Foret is to introduce runners to the world of Trail running. Therefore it will be a prefect start of the season event in a civilised way.

On the other hand, Ultimate Xc has a mission to challenge the fittest.

Thanks for the info, Dan.

I'll think hard on how much I want to "protect" my half in Ottawa.

Great promotion!

Yes, I get the benefit of enjoying these amazing races in my own Province/Country. I am a big fan of these kind of local events. We need more it's good for the economy.

No wonder we can't get new members into the Montreal Clubhouse. Someone forgot to tie up our Pittbull away from the entrance.
