Weekend, April 8-9: workouts!

Beautiful weekend!

Sat - 2600m swim. And 3 mile walk with DH, after some cleaning work in the garage.

Sunday - 3hrs "Cafe Ride" (dirt road to Moonwink Cafe nearc Ann Arbor) with DH. Some friends were meeting up there to start their ride, so it was nice to see a bunch of familiar faces. A nice brunch there with DH, his first outdoor long ride after his knee surgery. FIB more cleanup in the garage.

First bagelry ride of the year on Saturday ... 36+ miles ... group of 8-10 people, so not bad. A bit chilly with wind, but lovely day today. Walked around with Portsmouth with sister/niece and DW.

Looks like tomorrow will be first commute of the year, but will keep it short both ways.

A lovely weekend here with a chilly ow swim Saturday big surf and an upwelling dropped the water temps back into the 50s but clear and pretty!

Today 3 of us went for a ride the planned 40 miles got sidetracked when E (our new rider) wanted another shot at our coastal test piece- torrey pines hill and made it without stopping for the first time (@ 2 miles average 6-8% grade depending who is measuring I guess). With that and going back part of it to check on L and then celebrating with ice cream we were down to 35 miles of fun! According to my RWGPS app I've passed 500 miles of outside riding for the year. It may be the only time I'm ahead of Geo as his season has started.

Week starts with a variety of doc appts. Am considering replacing the one and only specialist I am "allowed' on my Obamacare with an out of pocket (there's no out of network coverage on the ocare stuff fi you are not subsidized) because I dont' trust the ocare doc. Tomorrow's apt should help me decide. I hate to spend the extra money but I'd hate more to be messed up with bad medicine and I've had a lot of that this year.

Enough for me, ready for the week ahead I hope!
